The black I2 Instrument Microphone, Standard Gain, with TA4F Connector for Toa WM-4300 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been engineered from the ground up for natural on- and off-axis frequency response, low-noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls. This tiny instrument microphone can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitars, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.

The I2 instrument microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version offers a standard gain and is suitable for close miking and loud instruments like horns. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, a basic clip, and a carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Toa WM-4300 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques can be aided by the various selection of instrument mounts (sold separately), which position securely and gently to strings, brass, and more.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning, and consistent patterns.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective for picking up sound directly in front of the microphone and is less sensitive to sound directly behind the microphone. It picks up about 1/3 less ambient noise than the omnidirectional polar pattern, so the working distance (the distance a performer could be positioned from the microphone) is approximately 1.7 times that of the omni. The cardioid pattern works best when you can position the microphone directly towards the sound you wish to record (a lead singer, for example) and directly away from unwanted sound sources like a crowd or a loud monitor).

Q: 1. I have a Revere 116-D regular 8mm camera that only has an ASA dial setting between 10 and 40 ASA. If I use this Fomapan 100 ISO film and film at the 40 ASA setting on the camera, what number would I need to ask for the film to be pulled when getting developed? Would it be -1 or more?

A: Ask them to pull it about 1-1.5 stops.

Q: 2. Is it possible to develop and fix this film normally with BW developer and fixer for negative stocks (developers such as D76)?

A: Unfortunately, regular negative film developing chemistry won't work with the Foma Fomapan R100 Black and White Transparency Film (Double Standard 8mm, 32.8' Reel). You can use this Foma Reversal Process Developing Kit though. https://bhpho.to/4fbU1Tz

Q: 3. Can you please tell me who in the US processes this film?

A: Hello,Check out CINELABS: We process all Regular 8mm, Super 8mm and Max 8mm films . http://bhpho.to/1dk0Hat

Q: 4. Hi just wondering when it's time to shoot the second half of film, does that mean you have to shoot what you've already shot again, or can you continue to shoot something else? Thanks.

A: You can continue to shoot something else. The format sounds a little confusing, but it's essentially the same as any other film stock, just when it runs out, you flip it, thread it through the camera again, and keep shooting. In processing, they'll split it down the middle and attach the two halves together, making one long reel.

Q: 5. Would this film work in a Revere 8, model 88?

A: Yes, this film will work in any REGULAR 8mm camera, also called a STANDARD 8mm camera. These are the older 8mm cameras made beforeSuper 8 was introduced. The film comes in a open roll, not a cartridge. When you load the camera be sure to do so in dim light so you won't fog the film. Hope you still have the empty take-up reel in the camera! Thenexpose the film correctly for 100ASA and be sure to focus the camera.Check the internet for 8mm black and white processing. Shooting movieson film is expensive but I believe it is more fun and rewarding than shootingon video. Good luck! JB

Q: 6. What is the average time of recording at approximately 24fps with this roll?

A: The average record time for the Foma Fomapan R100 Double Standard 8mm Black and White Transparency Film (10m) will be about 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

Q: 7. I have a Yashica EE automatic 8. I've measured the empty take-up reel and it's 2 inches big at max. Will this fit in my camera?

A: Yes, the Fomapan will work. 8mm film width, sprocket holes, and reels are all the same the world over. If you get an 8mm camera like the Yashica EE Automatic 8 , Fomapan will work with it.

Q: 8. Will this work with regular 8 mm cameras?

A: The Fomapan R100 Black and White Transparency Film (Double Standard 8mm, 32.8' Reel) is designed for use with 8mm film cameras.

Q: 9. Is this film 16mm wide?

A: Yes

Q: 10. 3 questions: Will this fit in an ORIGINAL 1951 Kodak Brownie 13mm f2.7? Is it projectable? And does it come with a spool?

A: This is 25ft(33ft with leader for either end for loading) spool film, Double 8mm and will fit into every spool film loading Double 8mm camera, even the original KODAK from 1932. After you send the film out for processing, it will return developed to a Black & White Reversal(Positive)image film, having been slit down the middle from its 16mm width (thus why it's called DOUBLE 8mm film), with each 25ft segment spliced end to end, yielding approximately 50ft of film on a 50ft Projection Reel. The film if shot at 16 frames per second (as is the situation with most 8mm cameras made prior to 1958), and thus projected at that same speed, will yield approximately 4minutes 12 seconds of screen time. If shot at 18fps, as is the case with many cameras made after 1958, it will run for about 3 minutes 50 seconds. If transferred to video format with chain type transfer equipment, it will yield about 3 minutes 30 seconds of video time, which can be adjusted back to whatever time run length you want in video editing software. Keep in mind, film transfer is an extra service beyond the cost of developing the film. I suggest doing an internet search for how to properly load and use these older cameras; many helpful sites out there. Good luck, happy filmmaking, and best wishes over the holiday season.
