The white B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Mid Gain, with 3.5mm Locking Connector for UT86P Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a water-resistant, miniature lavalier microphone for capturing high-quality audio. It can be used in a variety of applications such as a tie-clip lavalier in interviews, a hair-hidden mic for drama, a water-resistant mic for water sports and hurricane reporting, or simply a small mic to hide in a prop flower vase.

The B3 capsule is resistant to moisture (IP67), which allows for placement in the hair or on bare skin, and its omnidirectional polar pattern minimizes handling noise, wind noise, and plosives (popping). Furthermore, a variety of skin-matching colors are available. This B3's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to UT86P Sky wireless bodypack transmitters Additionally, a carrying case, two cable clips, a windscreen, and three protective caps are also included.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B3 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B3 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B3 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB for wireless applications. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B3 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high-overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the AVX system work worldwide?

A: The Sennheiser AVX-ME2 SET Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (1.9 GHz) is made to work anywhere in North America, under current FCC regulations. It will also work in any region that allows you to use 1.9 GHz band for wireless microphones.

Q: 2. Just bought this and tried it out once. I'm not a professional videographer and have to create short videos for work. It seemed simple to set up but when I went to edit the video the sound is incredibly distorted. It sounds like it's playing through a blown out speaker. I've tried playing it on multiple devices so I know it is not my computer. Did I somehow set it up incorrectly? Very confused. Thanks

A: You may need to make adjustments to the settings for the receiver's output level or the camera's input level. If your camera has an automatic level control, you will need to deactivate it. The receiver also has an automatic level control which can't be deactivated, so you don't want the camera and receiver to interfere with each other as they are making their adjustments. You may also want to check the setting for the camera's input sensitivity level and lower it, if needed. You can check the output level display on the camera while using the mic. You should see the level peak when the mic is picking up louder audio, but it should not be clipping. If necessary, you can adjust the receiver's output level using the AF Out button on the receiver. Please feel free to contact us if you are still having trouble. We will be happy to help.

Q: 3. can the receiver be used with Panasonic px 300 video recorder ?

A: The receiver can be connected to the microphone input on any recorder, camera, smartphone or other similar device to record audio. I am not able to find specifications for a Panasonic model PX 300 video recorder, but if it has a standard mic input, then the wireless mic system can be connected.

Q: 4. Can you change frequencies with this?

A: The Sennheiser AVX wireless system is what as known as a Diversity system. The system functions on channel 8 between 1920 to 1930 MHz. The AVX is constantly looking for the cleanest frequency to transmit on. This is what a diversity system does. There is no need for you to touch any frequency the system will do it for you. The AVX was designed for you basic run and gun shooter.

Q: 5. Can this be used internationally?

A: Since this is a self-contained system, you can definitely use it internationally. The transmitter and receiver sync to each other and the receiver plugs right into your recording device - camera, Xoom recorder, whatever. You just need adapter plugs for whatever country you are in for charging the batteries

Q: 6. If I already have a MKE2 Lav will it work with this system? are the transmitter and receiver the same for both ME2 and MKE2?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser MKE2 lavalier microphone with locking 3.5mm connector is directly compatible with the transmitter in the Sennheiser AVX-ME2 SET Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (1.9 GHz). Yes, the Sennheiser AVX-ME2 set and the Sennheiser AVX-MKE2 set both come with the same transmitter and receiver and the only difference between these two sets is the lavalier microphone that is included.

Q: 7. How hard is it to flip the mic around in the clip without tools?

A: The lapel clip in the Sennheiser AVX-ME2 SET Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System can be easily detached from the mic head for reorienting as needed.

Q: 8. If I want to use two of these mics(ie. 2 seperate mics and recievers), will they operate normally? Will they interfere with each other?

A: From what I read and what I was told they should operate perfectly .

Q: 9. If I connect the receiver to a mixer with phantom power of 48V (like the Rode RODECaster Pro), will it damage the receiver?

A: The AVX are designed to turn automatically on and off, once phantom power is detected or lost. This won't damage the receiver. However, please note that the AVX do have a 19ms delay in them due to the 1.9 ghz band they transmitter in. This is not noticeable for recorded video and just audio, but do not use these for any live performances or broadcasts.

Q: 10. Can I plug this into a PC if I am using the web cam?

A: Yes, the BOYA BY-WM4 PRO-K2 can be connected to a PC to use as an external microphone to for audio to accompany video or for audio-only applications. You may want to connect the receiver to the computer using a USB audio interface like the Audio-Technica Consumer ATR2x-USB 3.5mm to USB 2.0 Type-C Audio Adapter (B&H # AUATR2XUSB).
