The black I2 Bass and Cello Microphone Kit with 4-Pin Hirose Connector for Audio Technica ATW-T1801, ATW-T201, ATW-T210, ATW-T210a, ATW-T27, ATW-T31, ATW-T310, ATW-T310b, and ATW-T51 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.

The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and captures detail for quieter instruments. Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the bass and cello mount, which sits securely behind the bridge with a positioning arm for placement. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Audio Technica ATW-T1801, ATW-T201, ATW-T210, ATW-T210a, ATW-T27, ATW-T31, ATW-T310, ATW-T310b, and ATW-T51 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.

The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions equally offering the flattest frequency response, lowest noise level, and is least susceptible to wind noise and vibration. It is recommended for recording and sound reinforcement of acoustic instruments such as percussion, guitar, saxophone, and piano.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What sort of windscreen comes with it? Necessary to buy an additional one to minimize breaths and pops?

A: It's a standard slip on cap windscreen -- I have found it to be more than sufficient for wind, particularly mounted inside -- I don;t get a lot of breath noise at that distance/angle -- main issue is clothing rustle.

Q: 2. Does it come with a instruction manual?

A: Yes. A maunaul is included: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/292636.pdf

Q: 3. How to charge the units?

A: These can be charged via USB with the included USB C cable.

Q: 4. Once the take ends, does the actor have to stop the recording and then press record once the new take starts?

A: Yes.See p.11 (Starting and stopping recording) in the Owner's Manual:a href= http://tascam.com/product/dr-10l/downloads/ target= _blank http://tascam.com/product/dr-10l/downloads//aThank you for your interest in TASCAM products.

Q: 5. What kind of replacement lavs can I buy for this unit?

A: I have used the Rode smart lav on this unit and it works ok, but it doesn't have the locking threads so it popped out as I sat in my chair and I missed a take. Also the sound was different so we went back to the Tuscam Lav. My guess is any lav with the 1/8 male plug will work. Why would you want a different lav?

Q: 6. Could you use this on a computer (headphone jack) for a zoom meeting? The presenter is at the front of the room and the computer at the back say 40 feet away.

A: You can use this on a computer only if it has a mic jack. A Headphone jack is only for headphones.

Q: 7. Is the Comica Audio Boomx-D wireless microphone compatible with the CANON VIXIA HF R800 Camcorder?

A: Yes, this system is compatible with your camcorder. Just a couple things to look out for: the wireless system comes with two output cables, one is TRS to TRS and the other is TRS to TRRS. You want to use the TRS to TRS when connecting to the camcorder. Both ends look the same and have two black band (TRRS has three black bands). Also, your camcorder does not have a shoe mount for the receiver, so to make things easy we recommend using a shoe mount bracket, like this one from Vello: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1472520-REG/vello_cb_550_dual_shoe_bracket.html

Q: 8. Is there a way to download the audio files to a MacBook Pro running Mac OS 10.13.4 (High Sierra) without taking the memory card out? When I connect the DR-10L with the suppled USB cable, it does not show up on my desktop. What is the file format of the memory card?

A: .WAV file it the format it records.

Q: 9. When I take out the battery, do I lose the settings that I have already chosen?

A: No

Q: 10. Does the receiver have an SD card slot or a way to store the audio files without a camera or phone?

A: The receiver does not record audio files by itself. To record audio without a camera or phone, you plug this system into an external audio recorder, and record to an SD card, such as this B&H # ZOH1N.
