The black I2 Bass and Cello Microphone Kit with TA4F Connector for MIPRO older ACT-707T, MT-103, MT-303, MT-801, and MT-808 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.

The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and captures detail for quieter instruments. Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the bass and cello mount, which sits securely behind the bridge with a positioning arm for placement. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a TA4F connector for direct connection to MIPRO older ACT-707T, MT-103, MT-303, MT-801, and MT-808 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.

The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions equally offering the flattest frequency response, lowest noise level, and is least susceptible to wind noise and vibration. It is recommended for recording and sound reinforcement of acoustic instruments such as percussion, guitar, saxophone, and piano.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is Holly View 150 compatible w/action cameras?

A: If the camera has a mini mic input then yes. If you are using a GoPro then you will need the GoPro Mic Adapter or a GoPro Media Mod for that compatibility.

Q: 2. Is there a way (or a cable) to connect this to the XLR input of the Zoom H6?

A: Yes, the Deity Microphones Pocket Wireless Digital Microphone System for Cameras and Smartphones can be adapted for connection to an XLR input on the Zoom H6 Portable Handy Recorder by attaching two adapters to the Deity USB Type-C to 3.5mm TRRS cable that is included with the wireless mic system. First, use the Rode SC3 3.5mm TRRS Female to 3.5mm Right-Angle TRS Male Adapter Cable (B&H # ROSC3) to convert the TRRS connector to TRS, then add the Rode VXLR 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter (B&H # ROVXLR) to convert the TRS plug to XLR 3-pin male.

Q: 3. Is there an adapter to convert the transmitter/mic into a handheld wireless Mic?

A: No, there is no handheld adapter available for use with the clip-on transmitters that are included with the Hollyland LARK 150 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System.

Q: 4. Does the GoII output timecode or have any features to help sync sound afterwards like the Tentacle Sync does?

A: No, the Wireless Go II does not output timecode. At this time there are no onboard features to help sync audio with video. You could use the old-school "three clap method" of clapping your hands three times at the beginning of the audio and video recording as a cue to facilitate synchronization of the separate tracks in post production.

Q: 5. Do you know if the Rode Central App will work on with iPad? App is not seeing the transmitter-works on MacMini

A: Yes. The RODE Central app is compatible for use with the RODE Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder on iOS devices running iOS 12.0 or later. If you are having trouble with the app not recognizing the transmitter(s), you may want to try doing a firmware update.

Q: 6. Is there any way to charge these besides via the case? Having the microphone transmitter die out or not be able to be plugged into a portable charger or have battery swapped doesn't seem ideal for most situations where the battery needs to last long.

A: Since the receiver only last 7 hour and it can’t be charged without placing it in the case, you are still limited to 7 hours.

Q: 7. I can connect them to an iPhone with Lightning connector?

A: Yes. But this adapter would be required: Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter B&H # APLAADAP: https://bhpho.to/3sApIOk 8-Pin Lightning Connection 3.5mm Stereo Mini Plug For Use with iPhone 7 and iOS Devices

Q: 8. What equipment is needed to connect the receiver to the hot shoe of a camcorder?

A: The belt clip on the receiver included with the Hollyland LARK 150 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System functions as a shoe mount adapter to allow it to be mounted in a camera's hot shoe. Page 6 of the user manual shows how the receiver attaches to the camera: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/703189.pdf

Q: 9. What is the audio bit rate?

A: Hi Stuart, the audio bit rate is 32.

Q: 10. Does someone make a single cable (USB-C to XLR) solution to avoid using multiple adapters (more points of failure)?

A: XLR is an analog connection, and USB is digital. This means that an adapter cable will not be sufficient, and any product converting one to another must contain a DAC/ADC chip. For this reason a single adapter cable is not possible.
