Countryman I2 Bass And Cello Microphone Kit With 3.5mm Locking Connector For Sony Wireless Transmitters (black)

The black I2 Bass and Cello Microphone Kit with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sony ZTX-B01 and ZTX-B02RC Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.
The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and captures detail for quieter instruments. Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the bass and cello mount, which sits securely behind the bridge with a positioning arm for placement. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Sony ZTX-B01 and ZTX-B02RC wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.
Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.
Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.
The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions equally offering the flattest frequency response, lowest noise level, and is least susceptible to wind noise and vibration. It is recommended for recording and sound reinforcement of acoustic instruments such as percussion, guitar, saxophone, and piano.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Hello, I have a 24-70 mm lens and sb 900 flash that I use on my nikon d800 camera. Can I use these devices? thanks.
A: Yes, you can mount your Nikon F-mount G lenses on Sony cameras with the correct lens adapter. As for the flash you can use the Nikon SB 900 flash on M-mode. Please be aware that Metada and electronic comunication would be limited using off brand lenses and flash.
Q: 2. It looks like it's missing that all-important second control dial. Is that the case?
A: If you are talking about the wheel in front of the shutter button, yes, it was removed.
Q: 3. Does the a7C utilize 'picture grab'? The ability to grab a 8MB picture from a video? As with the other Sony mirror less cameras.
A: Most cameras including the a7c no longer can grab an image from a video. You need to do that in post.
Q: 4. Would you consider this a good walk around camera, if I don't want to use the A7RV. Also, what lens work best with the A&C?
A: Yes the Sony a7C Mirrorless Camera with 28-60mm Lens is a good walking around camera and lens combination because it is much smaller and lighter weight than a full size camera like the A7RV. I would recommend the 28-60mm lens for use as a walk around lens due to the size. Other lenses may be better depending on the subject matter but any lens that works in the A7RV will also work on the A7C,
Q: 5. What bodies in the a6 line will this work with (a6000–6600)? None, all, some? Which ones? I'm having a hard time figuring out which ones have the MI hot shoe. Thanks
A: The Sony A6000, A6100, A6300, A6400, A6500, and A6600 all have the Multi Interface shoe. In addition to being compatible with Sony's Multi Interface shoe, the ECM-W2BT wireless receiver also has a standard 3.5mm output for connection to any traditional DSLR or mirrorless cameras with a 3.5mm mic input, so the wireless system can also be used with many other cameras and is not limited to only those with the MI shoe. A 3.5mm cable is included with the wireless system.
Q: 6. Is there any way to set the frequency or digital coding so two identical sets can be used without interference?
A: The frequency can not be changed and you can have up to two systems in the same room without interference
Q: 7. Does it work with all Sony E-Mounts?
A: The lens would have to be Sony E mount full frame to work well on the Sony A7c camera.
Q: 8. I got this to go with the sony zv1 camera (shown in sony's own advertising as working). When attaching to the hot shoe I get this error... This accessory is not supported by the device and cannot be used. Is it compatible with the zv1?
A: Yes, the ECM-W2BT is compatible for use with the ZV1 camera. Since the ZV1 has a standard MI shoe (without a digital audio interface) set the switch on the mic to "analog" and make sure the receiver is pushed in all the way on the MI shoe to be certain that it is fully connected. Keep the power for both the camera and the mic off and wait until the receiver is connected before powering them on. If you are still having trouble with the setup, please contact us by phone or through live chat on the website and we can assist you further to resolve the problem.
Q: 9. Will this work with my VIXIA HF G50?
A: Yes will work with the Canon vixia g50 no problem this mic system comes with a 3.5mm cable to connect to your Canon's 3.5mm mic input.
Q: 10. how is this different or better/worse than the Rode Wireless Go ii. Can't decide between the two. It is for use with the Sony A7iii?
A: Main difference is this is Bluetooth. Bluetooth is usually a format with more latency issues than other wireless formats. It also does not transmit as far. Only about 30 feet max.
