I am using one of those wrist saling to peoples on shows, it have fluo color inside. u can add one to prevent the legs to re-open and lock back in place. I think this answer one of your question. The other one I think is about your monopod. The rubber part that you put on the ground is srewed in. So unscrew it and place it in secure place. Then screw the 3 legs at the same place. Keep an eye on it cause sometime it unscrew if not tie so hard.Hope it help.
