The tan Countryman E6X Directional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 2.5mm locking Connector for Comtek Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6X earset's cable terminates to a 2.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Comtek M-216 and M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How long is each foot section?

A: The feet are approximately 5 3/4" long.

Q: 2. Will this work on my Feisol monopod?

A: The Benro 3-Leg Locking Base attaches to any monopod with a 3/8 -16 female thread on its foot. So, if your FEISOL has a 3/8 -16 thread on it's bottom, it would be compatible with the Benro Base.

Q: 3. will the feet allow your camera to stand without you holding it?

A: Yes, somewhat, but I wouldn't recommend it. These feet are really for stability.

Q: 4. will this fixed to the Benro C48F carbon fibre monopod?

A: It should considering they both have 3/8 - 16 threads.

Q: 5. The photo shows a blue centre component. What is this part made of hard plastic or aluminum?

A: The blue section is plastic, the foots are steel with a rubber insert, the red knob is machine aluminum and the ball/threaded shaft is also aluminum, the chrome rivets and pins are steel.

Q: 6. This seems much more sturdy than the standard Manfrotto legs for rheir monopodHow do they compare?

A: Can't compare.have no frame of reference. But it is small and solid and portable. I use it with smaller extension of the pod because the opened base, the spead does not call for leaving a camerslaUnattended in remote work. If u stay with the camera there is no problem, or. Set it on a hard surface. Panning, say for sports is a no no, ,but for a panoramic shot patched for a single image it will suffice.

Q: 7. Will this work for a Mefoto Monopod?

A: Unfortunately no, the thread sizes are not compatible.

Q: 8. Will this work with a Mefoto road trip tripod/monopod kit?

A: Not sure about the MeFoto Road Trip but I can vouch for the the MeFoto Walkabout monopod. I purchased it and the Benro base at the same time intending to combine the two. The MeFoto Walkabout base support, (which is 3/8'), unscrewed easily and the Benro locking base screwed on perfectly. One mistake I made was thinking the red wing nut on the base was to lock on the monopod. It does not! When tightened it's purpose is to place the swivel ball in the full upright position making the monopod attached above locked straight. I added a 3/8" nut and washer to the base to better secure the monopod and prevent it from unscrewing from the base.

Q: 9. Can these feet be attached to the (now discontinued) Benro carbon fiber monopod model MC96EX?

A: There are a few different versions of that old monopod you are referring to. If the monopod you have the foot can come off and the female thread is 3/8 the 3-leg locking base will fit.

Q: 10. Will the VT2 work as designed to stabilize and fold up on my Benro MSD46C Monopod?

A: This base is not compatible with that monopod.
