The black Countryman E6X Directional Earset Mic, Low Gain with Detachable 1mm Cable and TA4F Connector for Shure Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6X earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Shure AD1, ADX1, AXT100TA4F, GLXD1, PGXD1, QLXD1, and ULXD1 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit a RED?

A: While it depends on what you have, we think this would work for a RED kit. The interior is 10.24 x 19.68 x 5.51" / 26.01 x 49.99 x 14 cm. We suggest that you lay out your gear on a table and measure how much space it uses and take it from there. We would like to suggest considering putting your camera, lenses, batteries and chargers, and accessories all in separate cases. Having one big case becomes unwieldy on set. Separate cases allows more flexibility in the long run.

Q: 2. Is this stand sturdy enough to safely accommodate the Westcott Apollo 50 with the Einstein Strobe? I will be using it primarily for newborn photography and I like that it's low enough to get the Apollo to the floor but it still rolls.

A: This is a very sturdy stand which can support a large amount of weight, However with a large softbox you're definitely creating a high center of gravity, I recommend at least 1 pumpkin weight (linked below) usual used on booms, however they clamp easily to the leg of this stand and don't negatively effect mobility as a sandbag would.

Q: 3. How low will this allow a soft box to go? I need something to hold my soft box down low on the ground for newborn photography.

A: This stand probably will not work for that. The pin is about 34 at it's lowest. Take a look at the sliding arm stand. Manfrotto 231 Column Stand with Sliding Arm I have two of them with an extra arm each to hold two lights and they will allow you to put your soft box right down on the floor or up to 8'

Q: 4. How long is each leg from the base to the wheel?

A: Each leg is about 14.5" inches.

Q: 5. For those using this as a tethering stand, what adapter are you using to mount your case/table?

A: To answer my own question (for others that might be wondering), I ended up buying the Manfrotto 1 1/8 (28mm) Male Adapter . With a couple modifications (two 3/8 nuts and a wide washer) I was able to mount my SKB laptop case perfectly!

Q: 6. What is the maximum collapsed diameter?

A: At the base its about 6" in diameter. At the wheels its about 12" in diameter.

Q: 7. Is it made in Italy?

A: No, the country of origin for this item would be China.

Q: 8. Can I put two B107 Mounting Screws in this plate?

A: Yes, The B107 is one of the most common mounting screw used on nearly all 1/4"-20 threaded mounting plates on the market.

Q: 9. Hi. Will the lip/dovetail reach the back of the base on a Pentax K-1? I currently have a similar plate without the lip/dovetail which does not really secure my camera in one spot, so it has a tendency to move around on the plate after a while. I was hoping that the lip/dovetail could reach the end of the base of the camera so that it would kind of lock itself in once tightened down.

A: Yes the lip fits perfectly on the Pentax K1 to keep the plate from rotating.

Q: 10. Would the Manfrotto GimBOOM fit inside of this? This is 50cm in length, gimboom is 51cm. Maybe forcing the padding a bit?

A: We tried to fit the Manfrotto FAST GimBoom Carbon Fiber (1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 Mounting Stud) in a Manfrotto Pro Light Reloader Tough-55 Low Lid Carry-On Camera Rollerbag in the store and it doesn't fit. If you don't plan on using the dividers and take those out, it can fit diagonally.
