The black I2 Instrument Microphone, Standard Gain, with TA4F Connector for MIPRO older ACT-707T, MT-103, MT-303, MT-801, and MT-808 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been engineered from the ground up for natural on- and off-axis frequency response, low-noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls. This tiny instrument microphone can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitars, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.
The I2 instrument microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version offers a standard gain and is suitable for close miking and loud instruments like horns. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, a basic clip, and a carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to MIPRO older ACT-707T, MT-103, MT-303, MT-801, and MT-808 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.
Flexible close miking techniques can be aided by the various selection of instrument mounts (sold separately), which position securely and gently to strings, brass, and more.
Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning, and consistent patterns.
The hypercardioid polar pattern has a narrower pickup pattern in its front than the cardioid polar pattern. It offers better rejection of ambient noise and the working distance is about twice that of the omni polar pattern. The hypercardioid has a small “pickup lobe” directly behind the microphone and exhibits maximum rejection areas behind and to the sides (about 60 degrees away from the rear of the microphone on either side) of the mic. The hypercardioid pattern works best when the loudest unwanted sounds—like speakers—can be positioned in these nulls.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. I have the v1, it touches a bit on the FTZ, does this one have the same issue?
A: To our knowledge, this plate would not have the same issue as version 1.
Q: 2. I have an 8mm camera (kodak brownie) that takes a 25 foot roll. Is the reel for the 33 foot roll the same size or will it be too large for my camera?
A: This roll is 10 meters long or about 32 feet 9 and 3/4 inches.
Q: 3. is it possible to split the roll into two 8mm rolls and re spool without exposing it? I have a 1965 Wollensak model 56-D that I would like to use this film in.
A: Yes it is. In fact, this is a service that I used to do on a regular basis years ago. There are many early model Regular 8mm cameras that require single strand 8mm width film (known somewhat confusingly by Single 8mm, not to be confused with FUJIs Single-8 which is actually Super 8mm width film) such as: your Wollensak (made by Revere), some early Reveres, Univex 8, AGFA 8, and a few others. The Film Slitting is/has to be done in the darkroom using a Film Slitting Device, and the film is then spooled up onto two 8mm film reels. The outer film has to be rewound back onto another reel in order to be used since the sprocket hole position is incorrect for camera use. You can do this yourself using a Film Slitter (such as the russian made LOMO Film Slitter often seen on eBay, or others) and a couple of 8mm Craig type film rewinders mounted to a length of 2' x 4' wood, about 4ft to 5ft long. You can use a large C-Clamp to hold it to a table. On the right side you place two Regular 8mm 50ft film reels, with the outer one facing outwards. Tape them to the spindle and to each other so they move together. On the other Left Side Film Rewinder, place your Raw Film Camera Double 8mm spool and tape it to stay in place, or transfer it to a 16mm daylight spool first if that is easier. Push the end of the film thru the Film Slitter and pull out a couple feet of it. Attach it to the takeup reels and feel that the tension if fine, or use night-vision goggles or night-vision video camera to observe what you're doing. Wind the film carefully whilst holding the Film Slitter in the center of the setup on the board surface or in the air, making sure not to kink the film in either direction while slitting. If you don't wish to do this yourself, you can pay a lab that can do it, such as Plattsburgh Photographic Services, NY that does these kind of arkane lab services to this day. Anyhow, FOMAPAN is fun film to use, and good luck!
Q: 4. does this film work for a lumicon 8III?
A: Hey, so I looked into the Lumicon 8 III a little bit and I am going to say a tentative yes. From what I understand the Lunicon 8 III was released in 1961 and super 8 film (the other kind of 8mm film) was released in 1965. So the odds are in your favor. And honestly the film is relatively inexpensive so it's really worth the shot! I shoot on this film all the time and I love how it looks, and if it doesn't work for your camera then you have a test roll for future cameras!
Q: 5. Will this film fit in a 1959-60's Yashica8-EIII movie camera?
A: Hello,Yes it will.
Q: 6. Is this film 16mm wide?
A: Yes
Q: 7. I have a Revere 116-D regular 8mm camera that only has an ASA dial setting between 10 and 40 ASA. If I use this Fomapan 100 ISO film and film at the 40 ASA setting on the camera, what number would I need to ask for the film to be pulled when getting developed? Would it be -1 or more?
A: Ask them to pull it about 1-1.5 stops.
Q: 8. i bought this film several times and had no issue. However when i bought two more reels this time the perforations were smaller than previously and because of this my camera is not able to get hold of the film and pull it through to the empty spool. Have you ever heard of this being a problem? Is there a potential fix for this?
A: I would have to say you received the wrong product, this very similar looking one: Foma FOMAPAN R100 B&W Double Super 8 Reversal Film (33') B&H # FOPR10010. This film has the smaller Super 8 perforations. Unfortunately, we normally cannot accept opened film boxes. However, please contact B&H Customer Service to see what they may be able to do. Q: 9. I have a Benro MeFOTO RoadTrip Pro Carbon Fiber Series 1 Travel Tripod. Will this work?
A: The Peak Design PL-S-3 Standard Plate will fit the head included with the Benro MeFOTO RoadTrip Pro Carbon Fiber Series 1 Travel Tripod.
Q: 10. Do you know who still processes double 8mm? I checked with PRO8mm and they apparently dont anymore.
A: Spectra Film and Video in California still processes double 8mm film, both color and B&W, including Fomapan R. Spectra also sells double 8mm film. Also, Dwayne's Photo in Kansas sells and processes double 8mm film, but only color. Another company, dr5 in Denver, Colorado specializes in processing Fomapan R, but they don't split the film from 16mm into 8mm. You'll have to buy a splitter on eBay and do that yourself.
