The black I2 Instrument Microphone, High Gain, with cH-Style 4-Pin Connector for Audio Technica ATW-3201 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been engineered from the ground up for natural on- and off-axis frequency response, low-noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls. This tiny instrument microphone can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitars, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.

The I2 instrument microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and capturing detail in quieter instruments. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, a basic clip, and a carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a cH-style 4-pin connector for direct connection to Audio Technica ATW-3201 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques can be aided by the various selection of instrument mounts (sold separately), which position securely and gently to strings, brass, and more.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning, and consistent patterns.

The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions equally offering the flattest frequency response, lowest noise level, and is least susceptible to wind noise and vibration. It is recommended for recording and sound reinforcement of acoustic instruments such as percussion, guitar, saxophone, and piano.

Q: 3. Following cataract surgery I am slightly near sighted in the eye is use for photography. I have a Nikon 5200 which has a small diopter adjustment wheel on the side of the eye piece but it doesn't go quite far enough. Should I get a plus 2 or a minus 2 correction eyepiece?

A: Depends on if you're near-sighted (you'll need minus) or far-sighted (you'll need plus). What I did in order to determine the strength I needed was go to an optometrist and tell them exactly what you need the prescription for. Tell them to test for one meter distance. It is going to be different than a prescription for regular lenses such as for driving or watching a movie. For instance, I have a different prescription for driving than for working at my desk on a computer. Get yourself tested for one meter distance. My prescription turned out to be minus 2 point something but I couldn't get one that specific so I rounded up to minus three and it's perfect. They don't cost that much, very well worth the expense. Also be sure it's designed to be compatible with your specific camera.
