The cocoa Countryman E6X Directional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 1mm Cable and 2.5mm locking Connector for Comtek Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6X earset's cable terminates to a 2.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Comtek M-216 and M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the width at the base in the widest position?

A: The locking base legs are each about 5 3/4 inches. So, the full width of the base is approximately 12 inches.

Q: 2. Can you buy the Manfrotto 502HD head and put it on this monopod, and is that better than the S6 Benro?

A: MOST HEADS WILL FIT, BUT REMEMBER THE MONO-POD MUST BE HELD WITH CAMERA ON TOP.

Q: 3. Does this include a carrying case?

A: The A38FD does not include a carrying case.

Q: 4. is this good for a beginner? I have a coolpix 950 and need to take pics in low light (theater) or moving targets (sports).

A: Yes, the Benro A38FD Series 3 Aluminum Monopod with 3-Leg Locking Base is good for a beginner. Nikon coolpix P950 is not an ideal camera but this will help you stabilize the camera.

Q: 5. Does it comes with a carrying case?

A: No, no carrying case.

Q: 6. What size thread is on the rubber foot, could you put on a spike?

A: It is a 3/8"-16 thread and would be compatible with any 3/8"-16 spike or accessory foot.

Q: 7. Is this monopod compatible with the manfrotto 701 fluid head?

A: The monopod will fit the 701 fluid head fine.

Q: 8. Is this Benro sturdy enough for an A7lll to do a 30 sec long exposure?

A: The three-legged base on the bottom of the Benro A48FD Series 4 Aluminum Monopod with 3-Leg Locking Base, B&H # BEA48FD, is not designed to support the camera without assistance as is a tripod. It is designed for assistance in allowing you smooth panning and tilting motion while holding and manually moving the monopod. Due to its low support point, I would not leave the camera unattended mounted on the monopod, and as the base is low to the ground with the camera being high on the monopod, the image can still be affected by wind or platform movement. If you are shooting mildly long exposures, such as from 1/30 sec down to maybe 2-4 seconds (depending on how steady you are and if your camera/lens combination has image stabilization), the monopod may work for your usage needs, but for long exposures such as the 30 second exposure you list above, I would recommend a standard tripod for your usage needs.

Q: 9. Will this monopod work and be stable for astronomy binoculars 25-100 (10 lbs)?

A: Yes this monopod can hold a pair of binoculars that have a 1/4" screw mount.

Q: 10. How do you "flip the screw around?" This is unclear. I have tried but nothing is working.

A: Typically monopods have 2 methods for revealing the 1/4-20" screw; 1. The threaded collar is spring loaded and pushes down to reveal the 1/4-20" thread 2. You unscrew the top disc and then turn the stud around to access the 1/4-20" side of the stud.
