A: This 8 octal soft box does not have any internal support and this causes it to sag a bit since the only thing supporting it is the velcro that closes the strap around the back collar where the soft box attaches to the flat. This could be fixed by adding some velcro to the softball and flash to provide some additional support. I have not tried to do this. You can expect to loose about 2 stops of light to the box, which is about normal since you are diffusing the light by bouncing it around the inside of the soft box. Having made these comments, this soft box does provide a very nice smooth (not harsh) light and creates a beautiful round catchlight in the subjects eyes.

A: Either the medium or large would be a half-decent choice, but it'll be up to your preference. The medium should fit snugly and can also be used cinched half-way on the hood rather than all the way. The large can be semi-scrunched up in order to accommodate a slightly shorter lens.
