$269.85 $391.28

The Bronica S Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Pro Lens Mount Adapter from Fotodiox allows a Bronica S-mount lens to be used with any Sony E-mount camera. It is designed to support infinity focusing and is constructed from brass and an aluminum-alloy along with a brass lens mounting ring to provide a durable, yet lightweight camera-to-lens connection.

This adapter does not support electronic communication between an attached camera and lens. After being placed on the front of the adapter, focus and aperture controls on the lens would continue to be used. To help prevent stress on the camera mount when placed on a tripod, the adapter includes a detachable Arca-type compatible tripod foot with 1/4"-20 threads.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the tripod plate come off?

A: yes, it does

Q: 2. Does this adaptor crop the image with Sony A7 series cameras?

A: No, this adapter does not crop with full frame cameras.

Q: 3. I am using a lens with an Aperture ring going from f2.8 to f22; the adaptor also has an aperture ring, my nex-7 displays F--, how should I setup the rings to control aperture?

A: Hi Mohamed M, this adapter is 100% manual operated. Which means you have NO aperture control in-camera. Therefore if you set the aperture ring to wide open on the adapter, it literally means your lens is on F2.8 and vice versa. Hope this helps.

Q: 4. Will this work on an FS5?

A: Yes it should. The Sony FS5 has an E-Mount.

Q: 5. Does the tripod plate have a 1/4"-20 on the bottom?

A: Yes the tripod foot on FotodioX Canon FD Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Pro Lens Mount Adapter has a 1/4-20 thread compatible with most tripod release plates.

Q: 6. Does this adapter have any glass elements or does it act as a macro tube?

A: Since the FD mount had a mirror between the lens mount on the camera and the sensor, the adapter is essentially a macro tube with NO glass. Rhis makes up the mirrors spacing since oir newer camera are mirrorless. It works just as it would on your FD mount camera. You lose no light relative to an FD mount. Adding a priece of glass would only absorb light, and deflect it wider or narrower. Wider would essentially make it lose light and become a longer focal lengthed lens. While narrowing it would be nice to capture what a full frame sensor sees with more light. If you have a sony e mount camera with a full frame (FE mount) this will work as best as the lens can do. If you have a sony e mount crop sensor (just E mount) then you might look for an adapter with glass. Almost all FD lenses were made for full frame support.

Q: 7. does this adapter come with caps to close it when not in use?

A: No it does not come with caps.

Q: 8. Will this work with the Sony NEX-7?

A: This adapter will be compatible with the Sony NEX 7.

Q: 9. Will this work with Sony Alpha 7III for Super-Multi-Coated Takumar lenses f1.4/50mm? or the f.2.5/135mm? I read there is a difference between SMC and Super-Multi-Coated marked lenses.

A: As long as the lens has a M42 mount that adapter will work to attach to a A7 III. It is a manual adapter. So, you need to set your A7 III in the menu (Camera Settings 2) to Release w/o Lens.

Q: 10. Has anyone used it with an FS7 with the current firmware which includes the 2K centercrop? And what have been your findings?

A: It works on fs5 & fs7 in the centercrop mode. I'm using it with Fujinon 15x9 with the 2x engaged. In the lens 1x mode it has partial usage. Additional zoom is still available through Sony clear image zoom function. Useful range is about 20 feet plus with the 15x9.The other option is the MTF Services adapter at about $1895. It has lens correction and allows you to operate without using the center scan mode at a lower zoom ratio. Hope that helps.
