    Q: 3. What link cable do I need for a Nikon D500?

A: Hey Jay - this lists needs a little updating. Your D500 will work with the 1N. Thanks!

Q: 4. Can this card DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G capture multiple sources?

A: This card can capture from multiple different sources, but not concurrently. It is a great card and can take hd-sdi, hdmi, and other inputs, but again only one input at a time. It can input to your computer and output directly to a monitor from HDMI which works pretty well. We made the assumption when we purchased this card based on the description that it could capture dual inputs and were disappointed. We contacted Black Magic and they agreed that the B&H description was misleading. However, it is still a great card!

Q: 5. Will this card fit in an OWC flex 8's pci card slot? If so, will it work to feed clean 4K 25P (and 50P?) signal to an EIZO cg2700x display via Hdmi? This for my overall grading and editing purposes (with an M1 Max MBP). If not, any alternative recommendation?

A: The OWC ThunderBay Flex 8 cannot take the Blackmagic Design DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G Capture & Playback Card. It only takes one card. You can use this enclosure. OWC Mercury Helios 3S Thunderbolt 3 PCIe Expansion Solution BH #OWHELIOS3S • MFR #OWCHELIOS3S

Q: 6. What is a suitable 12G fiber to 12G SDI converter to pair with this cards optical connections?

A: Here is the converter we suggest: Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Optical to HDMI 12G Converter (Optical Fiber Module Not Included) B&H # BLTERMOHDMI. Here is a selection of SFP modules. https://bhpho.to/2kYu6EM

Q: 7. On the Blackmagic website it says this card supports 4:4:4 over HDMI, but the spec sheet on B&H says it only supports 4:2:0 over HDMI. Which is it?

A: HDMI can be 4:4:4, 4:2:2, or 4:2:0 based on modes of operation.

Q: 8. Can the 4k Extreme 12G downscale a full 4k DCI frame to 1080p (to feed to an HD reference monitor)? I currently have their Miniconverter and that only does 4k DCI to 2k DCI and then crops off the sides of the 2K DCI image to display it at 1080p. Does this do the same and crop off the sides when going from 4k DCI to 1080p? Or will it give you the full width of the 4K DCI frame on a 1080p screen?

A: No, the Blackmagic Design DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G Capture & Playback Card can only down convert 4K UHD to 1080p HD and output a full image. It does not support 4K DCI to 1080p HD down convert. .

Q: 9. is this compatible with the XT-2?

A: Hey David, you would need a 1C cable for your XT-2. Thanks!

Q: 10. Does this cable work for the canon 5D MK II?

A: Hey Craig, yes, this cable works with your 5D MK II. Thanks!
