Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the current date of expiration on this film if I order several rolls this month?

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

Q: 2. If I have a Sears TLS film camera, will this type of film work for that?

A: You could use the Kodak GC 135-36 35mm Color Print Film in any camera the uses 35mm format film, including the Sears TLS.

Q: 3. what is the expiration date of this item? thank you

A: Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to inspect the expiration dates of our film. We store film according to industry standards, and any film that is 6 months from expiring or less is never sold as new, but rather featured and discounted as short-dated film. The volume of film that we buy and sell however in general keeps our shelves stocked with fresh stock on most popular film types.

Q: 4. expiration date of item, please?

Q: 5. Can this be used for a Pentax iq zoom 90 Mc??? I’m just getting into film photography.

A: Yes, it will be able to be used in that Pentax 35mm camera.

Q: 6. I used this film with Nikon FM-10 and Sekonic L-308X-U on a daylight, i sat my light meter to 400 ISO, am following the light meter readings and i still getting under exposed images, what u think is my problem. btw sometimes i push my film but i still not satisfied with the results. (**note** camera is in good condition)

A: Most probably your light meter is off and needs calibration.

Q: 7. Is this film dx coded?

A: Yes it is

Q: 9. Is this the same film compared to this one? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/27719-USA/Kodak_GC_135_36_Gold_Max.html

A: Yes both are GC/UltraMax 400 ISO Color Negative film 35mm and 36 exposures. It looks like they may have changed the packaging design and given it a new SKU.

Q: 10. Does This Have A Yellow Cast When Shooting Inside With White Florescents?

A: Unlike the days of yore when the most common color cast of fluorescent lamps was a truly ugly green, today's lamps are usually a pleasant warm (yellow) to cool (blue) color. Kodak GC/UltraMax 400 Color Negative Film is daylight balanced color negative film. It will look fine under cool lamps but will look yellow under warm lamps if un-color corrected. However, since UltraMax is a color negative film and you have to ether print or scan the image to truly see it, you can apply color correction to your image easily during that process.

When shooting with 35mm film, the Kodak UltraMax 400 has been my go-to. Whether I'm shooting with my Argus C3, my Olympus 35 RC, my Nikon FE, or my Canon F-1, I can always rely on the UltraMax 400 to give me the shot I need at the end of the day. There is a sumptuous quality to the color and contrast that I love, and I always make sure to have a ready supply of these rolls on hand.

I have the film and it's in the camera - but only have 4 pictures taken so far. My only review is that the film was sent ASAP and I appreciated that. When finished and the film is developed I would be happy to review. N.Snyder
