Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. would this lens work on an a7s in a nauticam housing for underwater macro shots? Looks like it is full manual so is there a focus gear you can get for it?

A: Yes it works w the a7s

Q: 2. Can we use this with Canon 70D

A: I use it on my Full frame 6D but apparently it can be used on a crop sensor check for vignetting before you buy.

Q: 3. Which lens mount can it fit on techart pro? I looking to get this lens to fix onto techart then to Sony A7.

A: Nikon has the longest flange focal distance so this means it is generally the easiest to adapt. I use both Sony and Nikon so I purchased the Nikon mount with this lens. I use it with my a7rii with a very simple mechanical adapter from ebay and it works great. Sorry I don't have specific info regarding the Techart Pro, but I thought this suggestion might be helpful in your search for information.

Q: 4. At infinity focus, how far out from the bayonet does the rear element extend? Or more to the point, has anyone tried to use this lens in K mount at infinity on a Canon full frame dslr? Any trouble with the Canon's mirror hitting the rear element?I'm hoping I can buy this lens in PK mount and use it on both a Pentax dslr and a Canon 5D. Since this lens has a manual aperture, there's no auto aperture lever extending from the bayonet which would hit the 5D's mirror. So, in theory, I should be able to use this lens in K mount on a Canon 5D just by using a simple PK to Canon adapter.Unless the rear element / housing extends too far out from the bayonet. Anyone know?

A: My lens is a Nikon mount so I don't know how helpful this will be.At infinity focus, the rear element's barrel back face projects approximately 3.5 mm beyond the rearmost surface of the Nikon mounting flange

Q: 5. My gemini 500R has signaled E5 error, I replaced the other bulb and still getting same message. Would replacing this flash tube fix the issue?

A: A web search does bring up many Forums regarding the error message related to needing a flashtube. Unfortunately, Bowens isn't around anymore to ask. Try this Forum. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3381078

Q: 6. Would the lens shift mode work better when using an A7Rii camera if the the camera were set to crop frame (aps-c) mode? Am I also correct to assume that I would not need to be as close to the subject?

A: You may use the APS-C crop mode while using the Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/4 Macro Lens for Sony E, but as this is a full-frame lens designed for full-frame sensors, the lens will not work better when set to APS-C mode; the lens will work identical as when using the full sensor, but in APS-C mode, you would simply not get as wide as a view and you would have a smaller maximum resolution due to the smaller frame crop size. While you will still have 6mm, it may appear less as you would not be viewing the lens' full angle of view. Regardless on if the camera is set to full-frame or APS-C mode, the lens' minimum focus distance is 4.72 (12 cm). The distance you are from the subject would simply change the perspective of your view of the subject slightly.

Q: 7. Is there any downside or degradation in quality if you use this lens on a Canon mirrorless with the EF adapter?

A: An adapter just helps you to mount the Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/4 Macro Lens for Canon EF BH #VE1540C lens on the camera and doesn't have a glass on it. Hence the quality remains same. This is a manual focus lens.

Q: 8. Hi there, what is the shipping price/cost to Belgium?

A: You may calculate your actual shipping options/order totals by adding the items you want to a shopping cart. It will then list the shipping options, descriptions, ETA's and fees to your location.

Q: 9. is this lens compatible with the canon 6D?

A: Man this is an EF lens, it is compatible with the 6D

Q: 10. is this compatible with Bowens gemini 500 pro?

A: You can use this with a Gemini GM500R.

I highly recommend this product, it is very small and makes it very simple to put camera in a pouch without having to bundle up before zipping pouch. It is inexpensive and very easy to use. Works great with my small cameras like my Panasonic LX7 or an ZS40.

Bought this to try out, and if I didn't like no harm no foul, due to the cost. But ended up really loving this finger cuff! Works well with my GR III and GR IIIx!

When holding a tiny p&s or mirrorless camera , I wear this around my pinkie finger and all is well. I even use one on my tiny handheld wireless flash in my other hand for complete shooting security.

Was buying a few other items, saw this, and figured 'what the heck, it's $4, may as well try it' - didn't have high hopes. How wrong I was.

This little strap is secure, tiny, and absolutely perfect on my little Lumix GM5. You don't even know you're wearing it, and it stays completely out of the way when not needed. Will be buying more for my other smaller cams! :)

This is great for a pocket camera. I slip the strap on my middle finger when carrying my Sony RX100M6. I also have Op/Tech’s wrist strap that plugs into the small quick release buckle, but I use this finger strap more because I can more easily put the camera in my pocket. Neoprene material is soft and comfortable. I highly recommend it for point & shoot cameras.

I have several of these and always keep one spare. I use them on my G9XMKII pocket camera, iPhone, even my Canon R50. I can swap it out for a wrist or neck strap when needed. Gives you that extra confidence that you aren't going to drop the camera.
