E-image Horizon Pro Gimbal & Dual Grip Handle Kit

$1,649.97 $2,177.96

The E-Image Horizon Pro features an angled motor arm that ensures an unobstructed view of the camera's screen. The gimbal supports up to 7 lb and offers 360° rotation on the pan and roll axes and 270° on the tilt axis, allowing you to capture stabilized smooth-moving shots across wide ranges of motion. It uses brushless motors to achieve precision stabilization, and it offers five different operational modes, each one engaging one or more axes in a particular way.

The Horizon Pro features a 501PL standard quick release plate that's used on many other camera supports, so you can efficiently move your camera between the gimbal and many tripods and other gear. The gimbal runs for up to 12 hours on four included batteries. A charger, carry case, control cables, and other accessories also come included. The control cables enable you to operate select features of your camera directly from the gimbal's controls.

An iOS/Android app is also provided as a free download. The app allows you to remotely control many functions of the gimbal. It lets you adjust the pan, tilt, and roll axes, switch between photo and video modes, return the gimbal to the center, set up time-lapse capture, and much more. Remote control is especially useful when you have the gimbal mounted on the mini tripod or other support at a distance.

One of the five operational modes of the Horizon Pro is a creative mode called Dream Follow. In this mode, the gimbal points your camera upwards and rotates it continuously in place, as the camera remains facing upwards. If instead you hold the gimbal like a jib, pointing the camera at your subject, the same swirling-type movement will take place but directed at your subject. A lot of creative shots can be achieved this way. The gimbal also offers a 1/4"-20 threaded hole on the bottom and comes with a mini tripod that attaches to the 1/4"-20 thread. Attached this way, it can be used as an extension, which will allow you to use the gimbal as a jib more easily, with two hands.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Work with Moza Aircross 3 ?

A: The Draco Broadcast Dual-Grip Stabilizer Handle for AFI VS-3SD Gimbal will work with the Moza AirCross 3 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer, mounting to the bottom mounting point on the system.

Q: 2. What does this dual handle grip weigh? It would be great to know the added weight to the gimbal.

A: Unfortunately, DJI does not publish that spec and we currently have no verification method, as this unit is out of stock as of this writing and is expected back in between one and two weeks.

Q: 3. how long it is?

A: That depends on how you set this up. This product is comprised of a few components that can be arranged in a few different ways (see the photos on the page for examples). It is designed to be very versatile allowing you to expand the gimbal making it larger and providing additional mounting points for additional gear or keeping it smaller while giving you an additional handle for more stability.

Q: 4. It’s work with feiyu AK2000?

A: They are compatible.

Q: 5. Are those arri-style connections on the arms? (I'm referring to what looks to be a threaded hole with 4 surrounding holes that appears to be for locating pins). If it's not this, then what connection type is this?

A: Those are Hirth tooth AKA Arri Rosette.

Q: 6. What is the width between the two handles?

A: The width measurement between the two handles of the ikan Dual-Grip Gimbal Handle is a spacious 11 inches.

Q: 7. Can this be used with BMPCC? Thanks!

A: The E-Image Horizon Pro 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer is too small for the footprint of the BMPCC.

Q: 8. Is it safe to use the handles inverted yet the gimbal stays in the upright orientation? If so, does it matter then which handles goes on which side? Should I just rotate the arms to put the NATO handles on top. Or should I put the left arm in right side and the other on left side to keep the nato locking pin on top always?

A: The handles included in the DJI R Twist Grip Dual Handle for RS 2 & RSC 2 kit can be safely used on the top or the bottom rail of the extension arms. Also, the left extension arm can also be used alone to hold the gimbal underslung, in "briefcase" mode, for low-angle shots.

Q: 9. What is the exact diameter of the handle in mm?

A: Unfortunately, this specification is not explicitly published by the manufacturer.

Q: 10. Can this be used with a camcorder, such as the Canon XA11?

A: Yes, a smaller style pro camcorder like a Canon XA11 should work on this stabilizer, but may need to have the top handle removed. Also, due to the length of the camcorder, it may not fully tilt (something that would be similar with any stabilizer of this size), but should be able to balance fine.
