This ZEISS 6-24x50 Conquest V4 Riflescope is engineered for precision and long-range shooting. Its generous 6-24x zoom magnification serves the purpose well, and a wide 50mm objective lens collects enough light even in low-light conditions to produce bright and high-contrast images. ZEISS optical design features high-definition glass lenses that were also treated with T* anti-reflection multi-coatings in order to deliver bright and sharp images with low glare. Whether you set out on a bright or a wet day, you can count on the LotuTec hydrophobic coatings to keep your lenses clean. They repel water and enable droplets to run off a lens' surfaces easily. They also allow you to wipe off the lenses without leaving traces. For accuracy and precision when placing shots, the scope also features a Plex Reticle 60. The reticle resides in the second focal plane and has three tapered posts with a thin crosshair and an illuminated red center dot. To ensure a parallax-free performance for any range, the scope also features a side focus parallax corrector, adjustable from 50 yards to infinity.

The aluminum housing is crafted with strength, durability, and precision in mind. It has a 30mm maintube and offers waterproof, nitrogen-filled fogproof, and submersible performance. Other highlights include a low-profile lever for instant zoom adjustments and an external one-turn locking turret with ZEISS' Ballistic Stop to ensure an absolute and positive return to zero.

          Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this lens chipped for exit data transfer for Leica M digital bodies?

A: No, the ZEISS Planar T* 50mm f/2 ZM Lens (Black) is not chipped.

Q: 2. What is the supplied ring for?

A: The "ring" that is included in the kit, is used to extend the connection, if the lens that is connected to the eyepiece is not able to focus properly..

Q: 3. Can this lens work with Leica SL2-S attached with M to L mount adapter?

A: Yes, the lens is M mount and the body is L mount. Best adapter would be this one. Leica M-Adapter L (Black) BH #LEMATB • MFR #18771 https://bhpho.to/2UZlbs7

Q: 4. I have to wonder how this lens compares to the Nokton 50 1.5 ASPH. I'm on the fence about both for my M2. Anyone know?

A: Both the Zeiss 50mm f/2 Planar and the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.5 are beautiful lenses, and it would be hard to go wrong with either. Each will render images slightly different. Colors will be a bit warmer with the Zeiss, and images will have enhanced 3-dimensionality. I would suggest renting each of the lenses. You should be able to find both of them at a place like a href= http://lensrentals.com. target= _blank lensrentals.com./a You would then have a chance to see which lens better fits the aesthetic you are going for.

Q: 5. What are the internal dimensions?

A: The interior is roughly 5x4.5x2.5 inches.

Q: 6. Whats the difference between this lens and Zeiss 50mm f/2 ZM mount one? Only 1/3 stop aperture difference?

A: We believe you are asking the difference between this lens and the Zeiss Normal 50mm f/1.5 C Sonnar T* ZM Manual Focus Lens B&H # ZE5015B. The only difference would be the approximate 3/4 of a stop more light the f/1.5 lens brings in. To get that additional light in, bigger pieces of incredibly precise pieces of glass must be mounted to larger, also incredibly precise, pieces of metal in order to do so. As someone who has on many an occasion wanted every photon possible, I would gladly pay the $401 difference. In Zeiss land, $401 is pocket change and well worth it if you need it.

Q: 7. Dear all, How do you like it on your Sony a7 serie?

A: The ZEISS Planar T* 50mm f/2 ZM Lens would be excellent when mounted on the Sony A7 series cameras with the appropriate adapter. One such adapter is the Metabones Leica M Lens to Sony E-mount Camera T Adapter (Black), BH #MEMBLMEBT3 (https://bhpho.to/41Iu3zQ).

Q: 8. Are adaptors available to fit this lens on Canon EOS R?

A: Yes, there are several choices, such as BH #NOEOSRLEM. Look for any Leica M to Canon RF lens adapter to attach this lens on an EOS R.

          Q: 9. Does it fit a Leica M5?

A: The Zeiss Planar is a typical M-mount lens. It does not protrude into the camera body, so it should not interfere with the light meter mechanism of the Leica M5.

Q: 10. Will a Nikon 8x42 EDG fit in this case?

A: The Nikon 8x42 EDG Binocular BH #NI8X42EDGG • MFR #7566 will not fit in the ZEISS Cordura Case for Conquest HD 42mm and Terra ED 42mm Binoculars BH #ZECORDRABAG • MFR #000000-1976-008
