The Concert 88a system is designed for easy setup. Simply slide the receiver module into the open receiver slot on the back of your Expedition XP310w or XP312w, then power on the PA and bodypack transmitter, and sync the receiver and transmitter.

As a frequency-agile wireless system, the Concert 88a offers up to 100 frequency presets to help you achieve reliable signal transmission. By operating from 542 to 566 MHz in the UHF spectrum, it avoids interference from Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals.

The CB88 bodypack transmitter connects to the included LM8 lavalier condenser microphone, which features an omnidirectional polar pattern to allow consistent sound pickup even as the subject turns their head.

Two AA batteries can power the transmitter for up to eight hours of operating time. Use the power switch to mute the mic between performances or turn it off for battery conservation.

Beneath the battery cover, you'll find a plastic screwdriver for adjusting the transmitter's input sensitivity. Generally avoid the maximum gain setting as it can cause distortion when the mic is used on loud sources.

The receiver module is powered through its connection to your Expedition PA speaker, so it requires no batteries or power cables. Its backlit LCD screen shows vital information including the selected channel and frequency as well as AF and RF levels. Press the up/down buttons to choose a channel, then use the set button to sync the transmitter to the same channel.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I understand that this is has a 3.5mm connection, but can it also work with iOS using a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter? This package is much less expensive than the same package with the Lightning receiver connection ($180 vs. $250.)

A: Yes, you can use the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APLAADAP) together with the 3.5mm TRRS cable for mobile devices that is included with the Boya wireless system. The Apple Lightning adapter will enable compatibility to connect the wireless receiver to your iOS device.

Q: 2. Can additional transmitters be paired with one receiver? I would love to have 3-4 mics attached to the receiver in my scenarios.

A: The receiver in the JOBY Wavo AIR 2-Person Digital Wireless Lavalier Microphone System (2.4 GHz) can connect to a maximum of two transmitters at one time. Increasing the number of transmitters would require more receivers to accommodate them.

Q: 3. Does the latency affect how the audio sounds in headphones? I'm getting a weird reverb/echo sound when listening live

A: There is latency, but when I monitor with headphones, I only notice that when I remove one side of my head phone to hear live sound. Also, not sure if you are hearing the recorded sound from the record device instead of the input to that device, and if you are hearing the recorded sound that will add additional latency, but that is only an issue if you are hearing the live audio and the headphone audio at the same time. I have used these mics as direct input to my Sony PVM EX 1 and other cameras and there is no latency issue there. I have also had 4 of these mics recording into a Tascam 6 track digital recorder and then in post synched up to the video with no latency issues.

Q: 4. The manual says no less than 3 meters between transmitter and receiver. I want to use a smaller distances sometimes. Will it work? What will I get at 2 meters? I am not concerned about the maximum distance of 70 meters. I am concerned about going below the minimum distance of 3 meters. Please answer with regard to effect of using at 2 meters. Thanks.

A: The Mackie EleMent Wave LAV will work at less than 3 meters between the transmitter and the receiver.

Q: 5. Can I use this system in Europe and Israel / Jordan?

A: This is a digital wireless system and can be used internationally.

Q: 6. can the receiver be used with Panasonic px 300 video recorder ?

A: The receiver can be connected to the microphone input on any recorder, camera, smartphone or other similar device to record audio. I am not able to find specifications for a Panasonic model PX 300 video recorder, but if it has a standard mic input, then the wireless mic system can be connected.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with a Sony A7?

A: Should work fine with this and most other HDSLR cameras and most camcorders as well.

Q: 8. Does this system record the two audio channels as two seperate audio tracks?

A: The specs do not indicate two SEPARATE audio channels; there is a single audio output listed as a balanced line out (TRS). USUALLY, these types of receivers "mix" the two mics into one channel. IF it does record these separately, it would be as a stereo signal, one mic to the Left, one mic to the Right. This is typical of these types of receivers. That means you MAY have the ability to adjust each mic received separately, however, you would need to move these to the "center" in post production, otherwise the mics would be far left and right, so would not be ideal, as each person on the individual mics would be far left and far right when played back, which may be un-natural when viewing two people in conversation, if they are shown at center in the video. Q: 9. Does the 'Wireless System Only' come with a charger?

A: The "Wireless System Only" version of the JOBY Wavo AIR 2-Person Digital Wireless Lavalier Microphone System does not include a charger, however it does come with 3 x USB Type-C to USB Type-A Cables for charging.

Q: 10. What wattage should the charging box have?

A: The JOBY Wavo AIR 2-Person Digital Wireless Lavalier Microphone System can be charged by a USB connection on a computer or by a wall adapter utilizing USB power delivery such as the standard USB wall adapter for iOS devices.

We are so happy (So Far) with this Orbi WiFi 6 Mesh System. It has resolved Speed Issues, Coverage Issues, Buffering Issues, and has made my Wife Very Happy. Our grandchildren completely Stopped asking why they weren’t getting WiFi 5/6/10 year olds! I think if there is any down side it would be that we had updated our Modem/Router just 6 months ago with a Brand New NETGEAR Set up that we are now not using the WIFI on any longer due to this Orbi Mesh set up. Absolutely a Great System and the Speeds are 500/600 MBS in the living room where the satellite Orbi is. Our TV works better, Arlo Cameras work better, Laptops work better all on Wireless Mesh System. Great Purchase. Love Em.
