Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used with two FIZ motors? Product Information says that it already comes with one.

A: The eMotimo Spectrum ST4 Pro Bundle + Dana Dolly Integration can support one (1) additional motor. However, a more advanced option from eMotimo to consider, that will support up to 7-axis control, is the eMotimo Spectrum ST4.3 + Fz Pro + Dana Dolly Integration Bundle (Gold Mount), B&H # EMST4P3GMLCD, and it would allow you to control two (2) motors and a turntable at the same time. The eMotomo Spectrum ST 4.3 uses standard Tilta Nucleus-M focus/zoom motors such as the Tilta Nucleus-M Motor Kit I (B&H # TIWLCT03M1). Please see the following link for details on setting up the motor: https://bhpho.to/46QVuuR.

Q: 2. How loud is the motor? Will it be noticeable if it is running while someone is speaking to a room?

A: The motor makes noise that may be picked up by microphones depending on the distance between the motor and the subject or the motor and the audio recording equipment. We recommend mounting microphone equipment at least a few feet away from the motor to avoid sound issues.

Q: 3. Can I mount it on a ProAm USA Orion DVC210 DSLR Video Camera Jib Crane Tilt Stand? Do I need any adapter plate?

A: The Proaim PTJR can mount to many jibs but the weight support of the ProAim Orion is not sufficient for the PTJR to be supported. It would work with other jib models that have a higher weight capacity.

Q: 4. Can it charge while being operated in timelapse mode? Is the battery replaceable?

A: Yes, Genie devices can be powered via USB C while running and they can be run indefinitely in that fashion. Unfortunately the internal battery is not user replaceable.

Q: 5. is the joystick proportional speed or is it strictly directional?

A: The Proaim Jr Pan/Tilt Head with Joystick Control's (12 VDC) joystick does not have reactive speed support, instead, the tilt and pan speeds are adjusted by via the knobs on the controller.

Q: 6. Good morning, interested if the genie one operates from the same Syrp app as the other Syrp genie devices? Also, the Genie One must be operated from the app only, no motions can be set directly from the device, right? Also interested to know the maximum distance for the Bluetooth connection from the phone with the Syrp app to the actual genie one setup? Thank you!

A: The Genie One uses the same app as the other Syrp products. It does not have buttons on it therefore you must control it through the app. It is controlled via Bluetooth which has a range of about 33ft. however, your distance will vary depending on your environment.

Q: 7. Can you use this device for repeatable interval exposures for nightscape panorama still photography, or just continuous motion?

A: Yes, the Syrp Genie One Motion Control Pan Head/Linear Drive, BH #SY00600001 can be used for repeatable interval exposures for nightscape panorama still photography. The function is built into the app.

Q: 8. If I have a power zoom lens, can I control the zoom function with the controller to the iFootage Motion X2? I see it has what appears to be scroll wheels on the top- would love to be able to pan/tilt and control zoom on a Sony A7R3 with power zoom lens. Thanks.

A: We are not aware of the Motion X2 having any zoom capabilities as well.

Q: 9. Is the Genie rope included? How long is it?

A: It's packaged with a rope that is approx. 10' -- but one can easily purchase additional rope as follows: https://bhpho.to/2TSlCko

Q: 10. How noisy is it? Compared to the VZ-MC50? Will a nice boom mic, like an MKH 416, pick it up from a few feet away?

A: It is not unduly loud. A nice boom mic, properly positioned, will not pick up the noise from the motors.
