The tan Countryman E6X Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 3.5mm Connector for Comtek Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6X earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm connector for direct connection to Comtek M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. I would like to know if this monopod head will screw onto the Platypus Max? Thanks

A: It has 3/8"-16 Socket , you would need a reducer bushing Oben 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Reducer Bushing B&H # OB1039

Q: 2. Like all RRS ballheads, why isn't there an option to buy this monopod head without a clamp?

Q: 3. Can I use this on a mefoto monopod?

A: Yes, this RRS Monopod Head with Standard Lever-Release Clamp can fit on a MeFOTO monopod.

Q: 4. Has anyone compared the Kirk MPA-2, the ProMediaGear Scepter HM1, and the Really Right Stuff MH-01 LR? All three are high-end versions of the old Manfrotto 3232 tilt head swivel. The question is: are they worth the money and which of the three is the best option?

A: I can't compare the three heads, but I use the Really Right Stuff head (with the Arca Swiss plate). I use this head paired to a Gitzo monopod when shooting wildlife from the deck of of a ship. It worked very well this year shooting in both Baja and the Arctic, and easily supported a heavy telephoto lens. The Really Right Stuff head is a bit over priced (as most of their gear is), but it is well made and should last for years.

Q: 5. I’m looking for a way to record a live podcast on stage. Can this mixer speak to a PA system?

A: No, the Contax G2 used a different mount, special for the Contax G mount rangefinders. Metabones and Fotodiox both make an adapter. Here is one of them: https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/983717-REG/ target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/983717-REG//a

Q: 8. Can I use this as a mic input while recording to the SD Card?

A: Yes. all audio inputs are available for recording to the SD card (mic and line inputs are available for recording to the SD card)

Q: 9. Is the preamp sound clean running it at the maximum 70db?

A: Yes, this device is designed for Podcasting, so the signal is very clean even at high gain settings.

Q: 10. Is it better to use this monopod head on a monopod vs. a ballhead? If so, why?

A: That would simply be personal preference. As a monopod is a single-leg support that can be tilted and rotated in you non-shooting hand, you can use a tilt head to tilt the camera up and down while using your non-shooting hand to pivot and further tilt the monopod itself and go through a wider range of camera positions. Due to the ball head's ability to itself move in a wide range of positions, using a ball head would require less movement of the monopod with your non-shooting hand compared to using a tilt head. It also depends on what you are photographing. If you are photographing something with predictable movement, a tilt head would be more than fine for your usage. If your subject is more erratic (such as a runner or following birds in flight and on the ground), while you can achieve the movement with a tilt head, a ball head may require less movement.
