The tan Countryman E6X Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 4-pin Hirose Connector for Azden Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6X earset's cable terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Azden UHF 41BT wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. HOW TO INSTALL THIS MIC ON bmpcc 4k, should I buy anything additional?

A: Install on bmpcc a cold shoe B&H # SM1241 or PEAMF1420 to mount mic. This mic has a Mini XLR provided: Azden SGM-250MX Mini-XLR Short Shotgun Microphone for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema (Shockmount, Phantom Only) and the bmpcc has a mini xlr connection: Audio Connectors 1 x Mini XLR Mic/Line Level (+48 V Phantom Power) Input 1 x 1/8" / 3.5 mm Stereo Mic/Line Level Input 1 x 1/8" / 3.5 mm Stereo Headphone Output

Q: 2. Can I use Azden SGM-250MX with Blackmagic Production Camera 4K ?

A: No, the Production 4k does not have the proper connection for this mic. For the Production 4k, we'd recommend a standard xlr based shotgun such as BH# SEMKE600, paired with this Saramonic mixer, BH #SABMCCA01, meant to give you TRS 1/4'' outputs for the Production 4k.

Q: 3. shoud i buy the shockmount seperately or it will be provided in the 199 dollar pack ?

A: The Azden SGM-250MX Shotgun Microphone comes with Azden's SMH-X Universal Shockmount for Camera Shoes and Boompoles.

Q: 4. I just bought it, no idea how to mount it on BMPCC 4K, HELP ME PLEASE?

A: You're going to need some type of camera cage for your BMPCC 4K with a cold shoe mount. I've been using this mic for my 6K with a full Tilta cage, but there are other, cheaper options out there.

Q: 5. I just bought an NTG-3 and I already own this pole. Shouldn't I be able to use it with the SM4 mount (with the 3/8 insert) and the Rode NTG-3? Seems odd that only the NTG-2 and NTG1 are mentioned.

A: The Rode NTG-3 is compatible the SM4 mount as well, and will attach to this pole using the thread adapter.

Q: 6. Can i use this with Rode NTG ?

A: Yes, the Rode Boompole for Rode NTG1, NTG2 and Video Mic (10') is a great pairing for use with Rode's NTG line of shotgun microphones along with an appropriate shock mount that matches the form factor of the specific mic and mounts to the pole.

Q: 7. Is there an extension cable so I could use this as a boom-pole mounted mic with my C70? I already bought this mic from BH, but need a cable solution...

A: Unfortunately we no longer offer TA3 extension cables to accommodate that length at this time.

Q: 8. Is it compatible with Z CAM E2C Professional 4K Cinema Camera?

A: The Azden SGM-250MX Mini-XLR Short Shotgun Microphone for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema requires phantom power to function and it has a TA3 male connector, so it is not directly compatible for use with the Z CAM E2C Professional 4K Cinema Camera which has a 3.5mm mic input. It will require adapters and a phantom supply to enable compatibility. As a compatible option for the same type of microphone, you can use the Azden SGM-250 Shotgun Microphone (B&H # AZSGM250) which can operate using a AA battery and an XLR female to 3.5mm TRS male cable to connect directly to the camera.

Q: 9. Is the hardwired mini xlr cable long enough to mount this on the top handle of the blackmagic 4k/6k Tilta cage?

A: We have not tried the microphone with the Tilta cage specifically. But based on our testing with similar cages, the SGM-250MX's cable does have plenty of length to reach the camera's mic input when mounted to the top handle. For reference, the SGM-250MX's cable is 13 inches long.

Q: 10. We'll just work on a go docs AD 300

A: Unit will fit any Bowens mount system.
