Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. What is the exposure latitude for Delta 3200?
A: It is less than most other BW films. There is basically no underexposure latitude, any amount and the photos will have no shadow detail. It is more tolerant of overexposure, so err in that direction if you're not sure of exposure. Developer makes a big difference. Kodak Tmax Developer or Ilford DDX are the only ones that really give great results. D-76 is terrible.
Q: 2. How many exposures does this roll (for 120 medium format version) come with?
A: He number of exposures is ultimately dependent on the camera you're using. Most standard medium format cameras will produce about 12, but some that produce exceptionally large negatives may yield only 8.
Q: 3. Is this the latest batch of Fomapan 100 that is packaged with a yellow stripe on the box? The earlier version has a blue tinted base and curls badly. The current version is excellent.
A: The Foma Fomapan Classic 100 120mm Black and White print film we currently sell is the most current version of this film.
Q: 4. where is this film made.what is your opinion of it.??????
A: This film is made in the CZECH REPUBLIC. The tonal range is quite good with tight grain structure.
Q: 5. Would Ilford Simplicity kit work for this film? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1448926-REG/ilford_1178858_simplicity_film_kit.html What is development time/temperature? Thank you
A: The Ilford SIMPLICITY Starter Pack can be used to develop Rollei Retro 80S Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures). This should have a developing time with ILFOSOL 3 (1+9 dilution) of 5 minutes at 68°F / 20°C.
Q: 6. Where is this film made and what is your opinion of it???
A: The film is made in the Czech Republic. Film opinions vary by shooter and style. Best thing to do is try a roll.
Q: 7. i have 100 & 400 film stored in freezer the dates are 2011 is the film still good?
A: Yes, but make sure you let the film come to room temperature before breaking the seal on the wrapper or else you will end up with condensation on the film. -Ty
Q: 8. Hey, I have a Raynox XL-303 super 8 camera. Will this film work? Or should I purchase Kodak's Vision 200T film? The manual says the camera accepts ASA 25/40 and 100/160 films. The end goal is to develop this footage and edit it digitally. I understand I will have to pay to transfer it etc. after I shoot it.
A: This film will work for your Raynox XL-303. Also look into Yale Film & Video, they have the best prices to develop. Yale Film & Video
Q: 9. Will this film work in my old Kodak bantam f/4.5? I also don't know how to develop it or any other films in this camera
A: The Film for Classics Pan 400 Black and White Negative Film (828 Roll Film) is compatible with the Kodak Bantam f/4.5 camera. The Darkroom does process 828 films. Here is their website: https://thedarkroom.com/film-formats/828-film/.
Q: 10. Is there a risk of X-Ray damage when shipping Delta 3200 overseas?
A: Hi, to answer your question, I would say yes. Any film rated higher than 400iso/asa is going to be subject to film fogging or color shift from X-ray. Many airlines and companies tell you that x-ray does not destroy or degrade your film but this is a complete lie. I use film exclusively and have traveled through many countries and can tell you first hand even at iso100 there is a risk of degradation. I always carry a lead bag that I store my film in if needing to pass through x ray, and always ask that the film be hand checked. They have swabs that can detect any traces of whatever it is they may be looking for without opening your film. I am not sure where overseas you are but in Europe ILFORD is the leading film distributor and in many places such as Central and South America, and parts of Africa, if you are in the main hubs such as the main developed cities they will most often have a film store you can get your hands on this film.
