The Modular Cage Kit with Right & Left Wooden Handles from CAME-TV is designed to be used with a Z Cam E2 camera (available separately). It features threaded holes for attaching accessories and a rosette adapter on the side for mounting a handle or other accessory. Two threads on the base of the cage and an additional one on top secure the camera to the cage and provide anti-twist control to keep the camera body parallel to the cage. Right and left wooden handles are included.

Q: 1. Does the Atomos Ninja V support this?

A: Yes it should. This camera has an HDMI 2.0 video output, which means it can output 4K at up to 60fps. It should work well with the Ninja V.

Q: 2. Can you attach a trigger (like the Godox R2pro II C) to the camera's hot shoe while using this cage?

A: Yes you can still attach a trigger to the camera while using this cage. The cage doesn't block the hot-shoe on the camera.

Q: 3. Do this camera has Log profiles ..?

A: Yes, this camera has a Zlog2 profile.

Q: 4. Does this fit the ZCam M4 body? If not, which cage will?

A: It will be too large for the M4. The bottom can be mounted but the fit will not be snug and we currently do not have any cages that are specifically intended for the M4.

Q: 5. Is WDR enabled in 8-bit internal recording?

A: We're afraid not. According to Z Cam WDR is only enabled for 10 Bit recording.

Q: 6. Will this fit on the new Sony A7R iii?

A: Four sided cages are form-fitted to each and every camera body. Therefore there is a time lag from when the ne camera is announced to when form-fitting cages are available. Q: 7. Anyone that can tell something about the low light capability of the e2?

A: The Z CAM E2 Professional 4K Cinematic Camera uses a 4/3" WDR CMOS Sensor, so while it is not as large as Super35mm or Full-Frame sensors, it will yield good low-light results for its price range.

Q: 8. Can you use a motorized zoom lens and have it controlled through the lanc? If so which one would be best? at least 12 to 1 optical is needed

A: We are sorry to say that we are not aware of any zoom lens that can be controlled through a LANC with the camera that is 12x.

Q: 9. Is the camera on par with Red?

A: The Z CAM E2 Professional 4K Cinematic Camera is an extremely cost effective option for its price point and features as it can record in ProRes at a high dynamic range.

Q: 10. Does The ZCam E2 have unlimited runtime? or will it automatically shut off?

A: Yes it does. The ZCam E2 will record for as long as the media and recording setting allow.
