Highly versatile and well-suited for all traditional black and white printing needs, this 50" x 98' roll Ilford MULTIGRADE RC Deluxe features a pearl 44M surface finish that has a more textured appearance than glossy paper to help reduce overwhelming surface reflections, yet still retains some reflectivity to achieve deeper black values for a longer apparent tonal scale. This Generation V paper features an updated emulsion with a more linear contrast profile that responds consistently and accurately to the full 00-5 range of Multigrade filters for fine tuning the look of prints. The paper also features a truly neutral base tint and responds especially well to different toning solutions for adjusting the final print color. The enhanced emulsion also affords deeper blacks along with enhanced mid-tone separation for greater flexibility when printing negatives of varying densities. Additionally, it is suitable for printing both conventional black and white negatives as well as chromogenic black and white negative films and the paper can be processed using standard black and white chemistry in either trays or using machine processors.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this film work in a canon ae-1?

A: Being that the Canon AE-1 uses 35mm film, you would need the Ilford HP5 Plus Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures), B&H # ILHP5P36. https://bhpho.to/2lRD5eN

Q: 2. Is there a risk of X-Ray damage when shipping Delta 3200 overseas?

A: Hi, to answer your question, I would say yes. Any film rated higher than 400iso/asa is going to be subject to film fogging or color shift from X-ray. Many airlines and companies tell you that x-ray does not destroy or degrade your film but this is a complete lie. I use film exclusively and have traveled through many countries and can tell you first hand even at iso100 there is a risk of degradation. I always carry a lead bag that I store my film in if needing to pass through x ray, and always ask that the film be hand checked. They have swabs that can detect any traces of whatever it is they may be looking for without opening your film. I am not sure where overseas you are but in Europe ILFORD is the leading film distributor and in many places such as Central and South America, and parts of Africa, if you are in the main hubs such as the main developed cities they will most often have a film store you can get your hands on this film.

Q: 3. Where can you get this filmed developed on to CD in the U.K.?

A: Its called google....

Q: 4. Does this work for the 220V/50Hz electrical requirements of India?

A: No, this is 120 VAC, 60 Hz only.

Q: 5. Is replacement canvas available for this dryer, and if so, how much does it cost? Thanks.

A: I advise you to contact the manufacturer directly for a replacement canvas.

Q: 6. Reviews of this product indicate that the actual ISO is 200, not 400? At what ISO should this ISO be shot?

A: You can shoot at 400, 200, or even 100. What it really all depends on is how you develop the film. Kodak rates this film at 400 which is perfectly fine with their standard development specs for 400 tri x. I shoot it at 100 and develop it in a 1:1 solution of D-76 and water at 72 degrees. I develop for 8 minutes (agitate 30 seconds in the first minute and 10 seconds in each minute following) I recommend this development because it provides quite good contrast and excellent densities (if exposed correctly at 100 ASA/ISO)

Q: 7. What is the dimension of the packaging (length, width, height) of this 50 roll pack?

A: B&H may call it a 50 roll pack but in my experience, it's nothing of the sort - it's been years since B&H actually sent me the old white cardboard box full of foil wrapped bare rolls without the normal individual box and plastic canister. What I've actually got every time I've ordered in recent years is simply 50 of the standard boxed rolls factory packaged in 5 standard cellophane wrapped bricks of 10 rolls.Dimensions of the 10 roll brick is 19 cm x 8 cm x 6cm - the dimensions of 5 of those will depend on how B&H's shipping department stacks them in the box.B&H's bulk discounts are a bit of a joke as there's no saving in buying 1 roll or 50 rolls - it's exactly the same price so why bother? There are NO bulk discounts so I buy HP5 135-36 elsewhere..

Q: 8. What's the expiry date if i were to get now?

A: The following item has a expiry date of march 2024. Recorded on 3/18/22

Q: 9. Does this film work with dark and bright lighting?

A: This film and any other film can be exposed to bright or dim lighting. You have to know how to expose it correctly under low light conditions and know how to compensate for reciprocity failure. But, yes it can be done.

Q: 10. What is the exposure latitude for Delta 3200?

A: It is less than most other BW films. There is basically no underexposure latitude, any amount and the photos will have no shadow detail. It is more tolerant of overexposure, so err in that direction if you're not sure of exposure. Developer makes a big difference. Kodak Tmax Developer or Ilford DDX are the only ones that really give great results. D-76 is terrible.
