Highly versatile and well-suited for all traditional black and white printing needs, this 10" x 250' roll Ilford MULTIGRADE RC Deluxe features a glossy 1M surface finish that is smooth and reflective in order to achieve noticeably deep black tones and a long apparent tonal scale. This Generation V paper features an updated emulsion with a more linear contrast profile that responds consistently and accurately to the full 00-5 range of Multigrade filters for fine tuning the look of prints. The paper also features a truly neutral base tint and responds especially well to different toning solutions for adjusting the final print color. The enhanced emulsion also affords deeper blacks along with enhanced mid-tone separation for greater flexibility when printing negatives of varying densities. Additionally, it is suitable for printing both conventional black and white negatives as well as chromogenic black and white negative films and the paper can be processed using standard black and white chemistry in either trays or using machine processors.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the expiry date for the films in the Ilford HP5+ 50-roll pack?

A: Any film that was within 6 months of its expiration date would specifically listed as short-dated on our site, and sold as such. As this is not short-dated, its expiration date will be at least 6-months out. Unfortunately, we cannot give an exact expiration date for the film. The warehouse is not located near our offices for us to physically check an item for expiration date, serial numbers, etc.

Q: 2. Is this the bricks of 10 packaging or is this really MFR # 1574616 (as the description says) which are 50 FOIL-WRAPPED films? That does make a difference to me traveling... Thanks!

A: the bricks of 10 are not foil wrapped. the film rolls are in plastic canisters.

Q: 3. Is there a risk of X-Ray damage when shipping Delta 3200 overseas?

A: Hi, to answer your question, I would say yes. Any film rated higher than 400iso/asa is going to be subject to film fogging or color shift from X-ray. Many airlines and companies tell you that x-ray does not destroy or degrade your film but this is a complete lie. I use film exclusively and have traveled through many countries and can tell you first hand even at iso100 there is a risk of degradation. I always carry a lead bag that I store my film in if needing to pass through x ray, and always ask that the film be hand checked. They have swabs that can detect any traces of whatever it is they may be looking for without opening your film. I am not sure where overseas you are but in Europe ILFORD is the leading film distributor and in many places such as Central and South America, and parts of Africa, if you are in the main hubs such as the main developed cities they will most often have a film store you can get your hands on this film.

Q: 4. About how many rolls of 24 exposure would this cover?

A: If you roll it perfect you can get 20. I usually figure between 18 - 20.

Q: 5. can i develop ilford ortho, using cinestill Df96?

A: The manufacture of Cinestill DF96 Monobath for Black & White Film lists many films as compatible. They do not list that film. It is possible that it can work fine with that film. But you will need to experiment on the dilutions. This is the information on that developer and possible dilutions, https://bit.ly/30uzYuR . And this is the developers and dilutions Ilford list for that film, https://bhpho.to/33lxT6c .

Q: 6. So the dryer works for fb paper as well? Does it flatten the print too? Thanks.

A: This dryer does work on fiber based papers and will flatten them out once they are dry.

Q: 7. what kind of camara is used with this film ???

A: That film is used in medium format cameras such as Hasselblads and Mamiyas. These were the predominant cameras used by professional studio photographers before the advent of digital photography.

Q: 8. Is replacement canvas available for this dryer, and if so, how much does it cost? Thanks.

A: I advise you to contact the manufacturer directly for a replacement canvas.

Q: 9. What is the dimension of the packaging (length, width, height) of this 50 roll pack?

A: B&H may call it a 50 roll pack but in my experience, it's nothing of the sort - it's been years since B&H actually sent me the old white cardboard box full of foil wrapped bare rolls without the normal individual box and plastic canister. What I've actually got every time I've ordered in recent years is simply 50 of the standard boxed rolls factory packaged in 5 standard cellophane wrapped bricks of 10 rolls.Dimensions of the 10 roll brick is 19 cm x 8 cm x 6cm - the dimensions of 5 of those will depend on how B&H's shipping department stacks them in the box.B&H's bulk discounts are a bit of a joke as there's no saving in buying 1 roll or 50 rolls - it's exactly the same price so why bother? There are NO bulk discounts so I buy HP5 135-36 elsewhere..

Q: 10. whats the exp date of this film? i see the pic is mar 2013 whats that mean?

A: Unfortunately, we do not have access to our inventory since our warehouses are in a different location, however, any film that was within 6-months of its expiration date would be sold as short dated and listed as such on our site. All other film will be at least 6 months out from its expiration date. The March 2013 date in the product photo on the webpage is simply for illustrative purposes and does not reflect the date of all of the film that is available.
