Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the expiration dates on your disposable cameras

A: Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to inspect the current expiration dates, however please note that due to the volume of sales B&H conducts our film stock is regularly fresh. In general film is at least 6 months or more from expiration; any film with an expiration date shorter than 6 months is sold under a separate section of our website for short dated film. This does not occur very commonly however.

Q: 2. what is the focal length?

A: That information is not listed by Fujifilm. We would be of the opinion that the focal length of this camera would be in the range of 28mm-32mm for a medium wide field of view.

Q: 3. Is this Sachtler combo more compact than Manfrotto's 645 Fast with the 608 head? Thanks.

A: Sachtler Folded Length 26.8" / 68 cm Manfrotto's 645 Folded length 28.7 / 73 cm

Q: 4. What is the focal length and focal ratio of the lens?

A: The Kodak 35mm One-Time-Use Disposable Camera (ISO-800) with Flash - 27 Exposures has a 40mm lens.

Q: 5. What is better, the Touch and Go plate or the Sideload. What benefits does each offer?

A: The Touch & Go platform provides quick camera mounting with 2.4" of travel for balancing your rig and both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera screws made for the serious shooter on the go working with multiple systems.

Q: 6. how do I get the fLASH TO WORK?

A: The Kodak 35mm One-Time-Use Disposable Camera (ISO-800) with Flash has a FULLY MANUAL flash that you much charge EACH TIME you wish to use the flash. It is not an automatic flash. When taking images in low-light situations, you would turn the flash on by pressing the flash button (the lightning-bolt shaped symbol on the button near the lens on the front of the camera) and wait for the flash light to appear. Once this light has appeared, the picture can then be taken and the flash will activate. After you have taken a picture using the flash, reset the flash by pressing the flash button again.

Q: 7. Does this camera come with development instructions?

A: just take the camera to a pharmacy that develops photos.

Q: 8. Is there a simple product that burns a timecode window into HD-SDI? How is it that composite versions are still being sold??

A: Google will have the best answers for both these questions. However, composite video equipment still finds limited use in legacy video systems and applications and in video monitoring applications such as in security and manufacturing systems..

Q: 9. Does the Aktiv8 head work with VCT-14 quick release plate? Old school Sony, has 1/4 and 3/8 screws. How does the pin work with that?

A: Yes, the Sony VCT-14 plate will mount onto the Sachtler's aktiv8 quick release plate. The Sony plate has a series of 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 ports underneath that are spaced out so that the pin will sit in the 3/8"-16 port when screwing in the 1/4"-20. Apart from that, the aktiv8 main feature is centered around how the head mounts and clamps onto the tripod legs. This is a perfect setup for integrating with a VCT style workflow.

Q: 10. What are the pros and cons when comparing middle and ground spreaders? Thanks.

A: Mid level spreaders are fast, always clean and can be use on uneven terrain.. However, you cannot get as low as with a ground spreader. You might consider it a tad less stable. Ground spreaders get dirty and are not good on uneven terrain. They must be removed at that time. (No big deal) They are good on flat surfaces particularly floors with delicate finishes. They are a tad more stable. Conclusion: if you need speed and clean, use mid level. If you need maximum stability, and are on smooth floors. go ground.
