The tan B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Low Sensitivity, with Hardwired 3.5mm Locking Connector for Azden Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is ideal for use as a head mic in theater. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Azden older 10BT and 41BT wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it compatible with Z CAM E2C Professional 4K Cinema Camera?

A: The Azden SGM-250MX Mini-XLR Short Shotgun Microphone for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema requires phantom power to function and it has a TA3 male connector, so it is not directly compatible for use with the Z CAM E2C Professional 4K Cinema Camera which has a 3.5mm mic input. It will require adapters and a phantom supply to enable compatibility. As a compatible option for the same type of microphone, you can use the Azden SGM-250 Shotgun Microphone (B&H # AZSGM250) which can operate using a AA battery and an XLR female to 3.5mm TRS male cable to connect directly to the camera.

Q: 2. can use this cg 4 mount with a celestron nexstar se8 ?

A: Yes that OTA will mount on the CG4.

Q: 3. Is this made of metal or plastic?

A: The body is plastic. The shoes are metal.

Q: 4. Can i use this mount for a CG11 whose motors seem to have died on me? Or: can i remove the motors from the current mount and use regular knobs for RA and DEC?

A: If there are mounting posts on the CG11 than go for it. I think there is. If not then call Celestron and ask about parts availability. It has to be convertible to manual. The CG mount is a quality built telescope mount. I prefer an alt azimuth mount when it comes to manual observation, but you don't get the slow motion tracking without the manual knobs. I don't know who makes a alt azimuth single mount for a heavy scope. I use a double mount for my 30lb scope with a 6 Astro-Tech Ritchey-Chrtien astrograph to counter balance. The CG-4 is listed at 20lbs and at 30lbs you need added counterweights to balance.

Q: 5. I saw a user photo on the Canon C70 listing with this microphone attached. Will it work on the C70?

A: Yes, the Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera has the necessary phantom-powered Mini XLR microphone inputs to work with the Azden SGM-250MX Mini-XLR Shotgun Microphone with Windshield Kit for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema (Shockmount, Phantom Only).

Q: 6. I just bought it, no idea how to mount it on BMPCC 4K, HELP ME PLEASE?

A: You're going to need some type of camera cage for your BMPCC 4K with a cold shoe mount. I've been using this mic for my 6K with a full Tilta cage, but there are other, cheaper options out there.

Q: 7. Is it compatible with godox v860cii

A: It is compatible. I bought it for the Sony version and it fits perfectly

Q: 8. Hi, what is the purpose of the optional spigot, as I would seem that it could not directly connect to a standard light stand as its a male (threaded) end?

A: This does connect directly to a 1/4-20 threaded lightstand. If your stands aren't threaded, use a spigot and umbrella bracket

Q: 9. will this fit on a bower SFD68oC ?

A: Yes, the Sto-Fen OM-EY Omni-Bounce Diffuser would be compatible for use with the Bower SDF680C Digital Flash for Canon.

Q: 10. Does this mic need phantom power?

A: Yes it does, which you have to turn on from the audio settings on the BMPCC.
