A: On Item: IPHONE-MIC35-1 the monitoring jack is available during playback only. A portable powered mixer would be the best solution if you need real time monitoring. The input/outputs on these devices do not allow for simultaneous recording and monitoring unfortunately.

A: Andrew, I have to apologize as we have not yet tested with the iPad mini 3. We have tested with the vast majority of Apple products with great success. Most devices from apple are utilizing the same trrs pin-out and handle signals the same way.Its possible that we need to review the product with the iPad mini 3 and test further, its also possible that you received a cable that inst working properly- which is a very rare occurrence with our QC processes. Or another possibility is how garage band is handling the signal itself. Please make sure the cable itself is seated fully in the iPad, and please reach out to us to trouble shoot on the phone.
