Using it on an A7III/A7RIII you would want to shoot in APS-C. As for the Full Frame Image makes it look wonky and not good. So in short it's intended for Crop/APS-C use, but will fit on a Sony FE body.

A: I don't own a Sony RX1R but I looked at an RX1RII on B&H website and it lools like it should work fine. That one has a thumbwheel that will be only slightly trickier to turn. I do not know if wheel is in same place on your camera. I've put one on a Fuji X-Pro1 and a Canon G-10, by the way.
