The cocoa B2D Directional Lavalier Mic, Low Gain, with Detachable LEMO 3-Pin Connector Cable for Audio Limited, Sennheiser, and Shure Wireless Transmitters from Countryman features a lightweight 0.18-ounce body that was designed to be discreetly mounted and can be used for miking news anchors, actors in a film or theater setting, lecturers in a school or house of worship type environment.

The B2D's tight hypercardioid pattern gives the mic an extra 6-10 dB of headroom compared to an omnidirectional lavalier mic, which means less problems with feedback, ambient noise, room rumble, and phase cancellations when using multiple microphones.

This version offers the lowest gain for powerful vocals such as in opera, which requires a higher overload level. In addition, the B2D lavalier is equipped with a detachable cable that terminates to a LEMO 3-pin connector for direct connection to Audio Limited, Sennheiser, and Shure A10-TX, A10-TX-US, SK 250, SK 3063, SK 50, SK 5012, SK 5212, SK 5212-II, SK 6000, SK 9000, AD1LEMO3, ADX1LEMO3, ADX1M, AXT100LEMO3, ULXD1LEMO3, and UR1MLEMO3 wireless bodypack transmitters.

With its small size and sensitivity options, the B2D can easily hide behind a shirt button. This makes it invisible for film work, theater, live shows, or any other application.

Natural vocal reproduction and a tight polar pattern make the B2D ideal for broadcast and is a dependable workhorse you can count on to perform night after night.

The isolation clips minimize clothing and vibration noise while allowing 360° of rotation for easy positioning of the microphone.

This microphone is tuned to a frequency response that is natural and intelligible at a wide range of distances from the mouth. It delivers wonderful sound quality on the chest (8-10" from the mouth) or towards the collar (3-4").

Low (blue band, -20 dB re W4) for operatic vocals

Q: 2. Hi, i have the Pentax K-50, will this lens work full auto on my camera or will i have to make manual settings?

A: Yes, this lens will work in full auto mode with your K-50. The lens has an aperture ring, and when set to the A position will provide full camera control of your f- stop. The lens does not have the quick-shift manual focus override like the newer DA series lenses, but that is the only limitation I know of. It is well built, vary sharp and has a nice silky smooth focus ring. It focuses very close as well. It is pricey, but it is my favorite lens so far.

Q: 8. Can the mic gain be set on the transmitter? Example, set for high gain on a quite source or low gain for recording louder sound? If not, how does the transmitter adjust itself to avoid input clipping?

A: The BoomX-D D2 transmitter does not have any controls to adjust the input gain. These levels have been preset at the factory for optimal sound when using either the built-in internal mic or included lavalier mic.
