The black Isomax 2 All-Purpose Microphone with Bidirectional Pickup Pattern and Unfinished Pigtail Lead from Countryman features a frequency-independent capsule that delivers tight pattern control as an all-around instrument microphone. It can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitar, flute, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.

The Isomax 2 is built with exceptional gain before feedback and excellent rejection of the surrounding environment. It is lightweight, easy to use, and is designed to handle very-high sound pressure levels. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, basic clip, and carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates in an unfinished 10 Kilohms, two-wire pigtail lead allowing you to solder the leads to suitable connection for a compatible transmitter.

Inside or outside musical instruments, placed on or hung over stages, and hidden in sets for theater, motion pictures, and TV, the mic can also be used as an audience mic or stage floor mic.

The microphone is sleek, small, and lightweight and will not distract the instrumentalist or the public. It is easy to hang without scaffolding, which eliminates the risk of bulky equipment falling on performers.

Very-low distortion at high SPL levels encountered inside instruments. It offers an uncolored and clean sound with a superflat frequency response.

A microphone with a figure-8 (bidirectional) pickup pattern is sensitive to sound coming from the front and coming from the rear, but has a very-high rejection to sound coming from the sides. Great for mid/side and Blumlein stereo applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it possible to connect an SDI-in and it simultaneously releases SDI -out and HDMI-out together?

A: Yes. Setting can be changed via usb control panel. According to manufacture you can connect an SDI-in and it simultaneously releases SDI -out and HDMI-out together with no control panel setting adjustments.

Q: 2. What type of cable is recommended to send the SDI?

A: Hi Michael, This is Jules from product support at Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor in the US. Any good quality SDI cable with full size BNC connectors will be fine for carrying the SDI signal as long as it's rated for the combination of format and distance you need, most of the quality cable manufacturers have tables available that show the maximum distance each cable will reliably carry the format you are intending to use. B&H stock a great selection of cables and their experts are really knowledgable (as well as friendly!) so I'm sure they will help you choose a suitable one if you can let them know the format you are sending (for example: 720p25, 1080p60) and also the length of cable you need. I hope this helps... Jules

Q: 3. Does this reclock the signal as well?

A: Jake, I cannot see anywhere in the literature where it says that the HDSDI input will be reclocked; so I would have to say no, it does not. This is the dumbed down version of the MD-HX--to offer a less expensive conversion of a HDSDI signal to a HDMI one--or the reverse. Poor thing can't do everything! It's powered my a micro USB connection--cut it some slack. =

Q: 4. Is there any latency in the conversion ?

A: The latency is not going to be a concern with this converter.

Q: 5. Will this convert an HDMI signal from 1080p to 1080i?

A: I'm afraid not. This product is just a Bidirectional Converter that will change SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI. It does not do frame rate conversions and scaling. For that you would need to look at the DECIMATOR MD-HX, which is a HDMI/SDI Cross Converter with Scaling & Frame Rate Conversion. https://bhpho.to/2fDbJBb

Q: 6. Can this be used to take a HDMI output from an iMac or Macbook Pro into a BlackMagic ATEM 2 M/E?

A: If the Apple computer is outputting a frame rate and resolution it can see then yes. The issue may be that this does not do frame rate conversions and scaling. You may need one of their Up/Down/Cross Converters and Scalers instead. https://bhpho.to/2HsMNzo

Q: 7. Can this device convert HDMI YUV signal to RGB?

A: Dear Nicholas, This is Jules from Product Support at Symbiosis, Decimator Design's master distributor for your region. I can confirm that the MD-LX can convert a YUV HDMI input to RGB HDMI output. To change the type of HDMI output you can use the USB Control Panel application available from Decimator's website. If you need a hand setting it up when it arrives please feel free to contact us on support@symbiosis.com. Kind Regards Jules

Q: 8. If I send HD SDI in to be converted to HDMI will it loop out the SDI signal to the SDI out?

A: Yes, the default setting is to send signal to both outputs whenever you plug into an input.

Q: 9. What is the weight of the unit itself, without the cardboard box and packaging?

A: While the exact weight is not listed, the box it ships in weighs 0.73 pounds. We would imagine the unit will be only around a half pound or so.

Q: 10. Am using Tamron 70-200mm G2 lens with Nikon D750 and Kirk L bracket.Would I be able to use this rail to get the optimal nodal point? TIA

A: Yes, this product would allow for the optimal nodal point with your current set up.
