The black Isomax 2 All-Purpose Microphone, Standard Gain with LEMO 3-Pin Connector for WisyCom MTP30, MTP40, MTP40S, MTP41, and MTP41S Wireless Transmitters from Countryman features a frequency-independent capsule that delivers tight pattern control as an all-around instrument microphone. It can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitar, flute, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.

The Isomax 2 is built with exceptional gain before feedback and excellent rejection of the surrounding environment. It is lightweight, easy to use, and is designed to handle very-high sound pressure levels. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, basic clip, and carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a LEMO 3-pin connector for direct connection to WisyCom MTP30, MTP40, MTP40S, MTP41, and MTP41S wireless bodypack transmitters.

Inside or outside musical instruments, placed on or hung over stages, and hidden in sets for theater, motion pictures, and TV, the mic can also be used as an audience mic or stage floor mic.

The microphone is sleek, small, and lightweight and will not distract the instrumentalist or the public. It is easy to hang without scaffolding, which eliminates the risk of bulky equipment falling on performers.

Very-low distortion at high SPL levels encountered inside instruments. It offers an uncolored and clean sound with a superflat frequency response.

A microphone with a figure-8 (bidirectional) pickup pattern is sensitive to sound coming from the front and coming from the rear, but has a very-high rejection to sound coming from the sides. Great for mid/side and Blumlein stereo applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the audio bit rate?

A: Hi Stuart, the audio bit rate is 32.

Q: 2. Can you do a multi-row panorama with this, or just one row?

A: Only single row panoramas. Sunwayfoto has a multi-row kit or you can buy the needed parts separately. These are the parts I have found at this time.DPG-2416 horizontal slideDMC-200 vertical slideDDY-58 pan head clampDDH-02i pan headI do not have any of these multi-row parts so I can't say how they work.

Q: 3. How much weight can this hold? Can it easily hold a medium format camera (Pentax 645z) with a larger, heavier lens (80-160mm zoom)?

A: The manufacture does not list the maximum load the rail can handle. It is pretty much a solid piece of metal so it can support a lot of weight. It is the head or other part you attach to the rail that is more of a concern for maximum load.

Q: 4. Where can i buy just the lavalier mic for this system? is there a replacement one?

A: There are dozens of compatible lavalier microphoes for this wireless system. Please see our selection: https://bhpho.to/3mqEMxe

Q: 5. Other Lavalier microphones like Sanken COS-11 normally need the so called plug-on-power (2-5Volts). Does this system delivers this? If not, it is not compatible with professional lavalier mics.

A: Hi Balthasar, so far the Lark 150 does not support.

Q: 6. There is/is not a battery within the case that will charge the system without USB power?

A: The transmitters and receiver each have a built-in rechargeable battery. The batteries for all three units charge in the included charging case using its USB input port. You can use the charging case with the same type of USB wall charger that plugs into an AC power output like the ones used for charging smartphones.

Q: 7. The only difference between this and the Sunwayfoto DPG-2416R Multi-Purpose Rail is that with this (DMP 200R) you don't have to remove the plate from your camera to use it, right? Your camera with its plate fits into the clamp on the Sunwayfoto plate, right?

A: I think that the DPG-2416R requires the addition of something like the Sunwayfoto MCP-01 Mini-Clamp Package to complete the package and allow you to use your Arca-Swiss style plate on your camera. This would be more expensive than just buying the DMP-200R.

Q: 8. Is there an adapter to convert the transmitter/mic into a handheld wireless Mic?

A: No, there is no handheld adapter available for use with the clip-on transmitters that are included with the Hollyland LARK 150 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System.

Q: 9. Can this device be used with the combo SunwayFoto Rotating Panning Base and Clamp to add Nodal Point Capability for panoramas?

A: Yes.

Q: 10. Genera menos ruido que la a7s II A su maximo iso? Es mejor??

A: With the ability to shoot at ISO Settings Up to 204,800 this camera should compare well with the A7SII. However we are not aware of any side-by-side analysis of these two cameras to truly compare them.
