The black Isomax 2 All-Purpose Microphone, Low Gain with TA4F Connector for Shure AD1, ADX1, AXT100TA4F, GLXD1, PGXD1, QLXD1, and ULXD1 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman features a frequency-independent capsule that delivers tight pattern control as an all-around instrument microphone. It can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitar, flute, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.

The Isomax 2 is built with exceptional gain before feedback and excellent rejection of the surrounding environment. It is lightweight, easy to use, and is designed to handle very-high sound pressure levels. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, basic clip, and carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Shure AD1, ADX1, AXT100TA4F, GLXD1, PGXD1, QLXD1, and ULXD1 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Inside or outside musical instruments, placed on or hung over stages, and hidden in sets for theater, motion pictures, and TV, the mic can also be used as an audience mic or stage floor mic.

The microphone is sleek, small, and lightweight and will not distract the instrumentalist or the public. It is easy to hang without scaffolding, which eliminates the risk of bulky equipment falling on performers.

Very-low distortion at high SPL levels encountered inside instruments. It offers an uncolored and clean sound with a superflat frequency response.

A microphone with a figure-8 (bidirectional) pickup pattern is sensitive to sound coming from the front and coming from the rear, but has a very-high rejection to sound coming from the sides. Great for mid/side and Blumlein stereo applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the typical time the unit will run on a single battery charge?

A: The manufacturer claims 5 hours of operation time on built-in rechargeable battery; 1-hour recharging time for the Sabinetek SmartMike+ Bluetooth Microphone

Q: 2. Does the 3.5mm audio input jack allow for a 3.5mm to dual XLR male adapter for 2 channels of audio?

A: Sorry, it is not possible because the output is mono. If you were to use a splitter cable only the audio of the left side will be audible. The other connector will have no sound, or a hissing noise.

Q: 3. What thread type is the mic holder that comes in the set? Trying to mount it to a 5/8 thread mic stand

A: yes it is 5/8

Q: 4. Can I mount a camera for overhead photography? Can I mount a light on this? How flexible are the options?

A: You could mount a small camera on this boom stand, using an adapter, such as the SHILL Mini Ball Head, BH #SHSLBH1, which would allow the camera angle to be adjusted. .

Q: 5. Will the 3.5mm audio input power an xlr microphone with the correct adaptor? I would be interested in using a Rode NTG3 with this camera

A: It will not. While it is possible to adapt a Microphone with an XLR connection to a camera with a 3.5mm audio input, that microphone will need to be battery powered. If the battery requires phantom power, such as the NTG3, it will not be able to power the microphone. Phantom Power is not carried through 3.5mm connections.

Q: 6. is it same image quality as c100 m2?same af performance?what is the battery life per charge?

A: The basic specs for the sensor of this camera and the C100 Mark II are Super35 and 9.84 MP. The ME200S-SH does have twice the high ISO performance at 204,800. The image quality should be comparable. The ME200S-SH does have Dual Pixel focus and we assume that it has the same outstanding AF performance as other Canon Dual Pixel Auto Focus equipped AF camera. You also focus using the one shot button on the camera or with the Canon RC-V100 Remote Controller. Lastly, this camera is meant really for permanent installations and thus does not have a battery internally or directly attached. It takes power from an external battery or an AC power adapter.

Q: 7. Can I plug the NTG3 directly into the canon 5d Mark iv?

A: No. The NTG3 requires phantom power which the camera does not provide so you will need to use an adapter that will power the mic. The Beachtek DXA-MICRO-PRO (B&H # BEDXAMICROP) will supply phantom power and also has a high quality preamp built in. Many recorders and mixers will also supply phantom power. Please feel free to contact us if you would like further assistance.

Q: 8. Hi, I'd like to connect this mic to a Zoom H6, can you please recommend a cable to go with it? Thank you!

A: As far as cords go, as long as you choose a quality XLR cable you will be fine. I would look at a Hosa Technology XLR to XLR cord.a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/828151-REG target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/828151-REG/aBut, if you don't want to buy a cable, the NTG3 actually fits just straight into the recorder. You can just plug it right into one of the four XLR inputs on the H6. Just a fun fact

Q: 9. Would this work with a canon c200?

A: This will work with the XLR inputs on the C200.

Q: 10. question to the audio experts out there. I noticed a big price difference. So is the NTG3 better than the NTG4+?

A: Well they're different in many ways. The NTG3 requires Phantom power to work, the noise floor is less and it sounds cleaner. The NTG4+ can work with the internal battery, which lasts a lot and it is really impressive, that also helps cause your recorder battery will last more. But the NTG4 requires more gain from the preamp so it can get a bit noisier. So, yes the Ntg 3 sounds better, but I would say you have to think what could work better with the gear you already have and the type of work you'll do.
