The aluminum housing is precision cut and then folded before being polished to a chrome-like finish. Illumination is provided by a modern 12 volt LED light strip. The lenses are cut from sign-grade Lexan with a clear lens in front for vinyl protection and visual depth. This unit features a blue background with white lettering spelling out the word RECORDING. The back plate is pre-drilled to mount to a single/dual gang electrical back box or VESA-75 mount.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Looking to get some height for recording soccer games. Would this stand work (I know it's a light stand) with the Bescor MP-101 pan/tilt and a sony AX53 camcorder attached? It would be under the weight load. Not a pro videographer just a dad looking to get a higher vantage point for the soccer games.

A: You can use it , it will be wobbly

Q: 2. Are these stronger than they look? I've seen these in person and they look very cheap.

A: They are the strongest of the cheap stands. Very wide base gives them good support, but they are lightweight stands. I use them for litepanels and other small lights

Q: 3. how many photos can I take with this camera?

A: You would be able to take 36 photos with this camera

Q: 4. What is the voltage? Can this be triggered with a GPO trigger from a relay?

A: This product requires 12V and each color will use 120mA, mean it would be 240mA to use both colors at the same time. You can use it with a GPO as well.

Q: 5. Where would one get the film developed anymore?

A: There are a variety of labs around that process the film as well as the B&H processing counter located in the store.

Q: 6. Does this come with a carrying strap?

A: No it does not come with a carrying strap

Q: 7. are the attachment studs included with these stands ?

Q: 10. Does B&H have the adaptor for Manfrotto Alu stands to be used with American threaded microphone clips? I have seen these used many times with microphones or stereo bars attached to them. Would like to be able to use them with microphones and stereo pair for recording orchestras.

A: There are two options. This one fits direct on the stand, http://bhpho.to/19dnfim.And the other option which is stronger will take two adapters this http://bhpho.to/1GGUlm9 and http://bhpho.to/1Cdz0kG.

Good stuff. Strong. Folds flat. Well made.

These heavy duty stands are built well. They have the extra reach needed when placing an instrument higher than 8 feet. If you routinely shoot inside standard room height, I would recommend the other heavy duty stands that are shorter by Manfotto. The thee pack, locking design makes carrying them around a breeze, and also saves space. If you are tired of flimsy, third rate stands holding your equipment, this is a great optiion.

I use this stand with an Aputure C300d light. The stand is everything you'd want. Strong, easy to set up and take down, has large knobs and is air cushioned. Can't go wrong.

These stands are super sturdy. I also like that you can easily sandbag the legs where the supports come out from the middle column. I've even used them as a c-stand replacement by just adding a C-stand arm since they are lighter and more portable than my studio c-stands. Have recommended to others.
