The black Isomax 2 All-Purpose Microphone, Low Gain with TA4F Connector for Electrovoice MB2500 and MSB Wireless Transmitters from Countryman features a frequency-independent capsule that delivers tight pattern control as an all-around instrument microphone. It can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitar, flute, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.

The Isomax 2 is built with exceptional gain before feedback and excellent rejection of the surrounding environment. It is lightweight, easy to use, and is designed to handle very-high sound pressure levels. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, basic clip, and carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Electrovoice MB2500 and MSB wireless bodypack transmitters.

Inside or outside musical instruments, placed on or hung over stages, and hidden in sets for theater, motion pictures, and TV, the mic can also be used as an audience mic or stage floor mic.

The microphone is sleek, small, and lightweight and will not distract the instrumentalist or the public. It is easy to hang without scaffolding, which eliminates the risk of bulky equipment falling on performers.

Very-low distortion at high SPL levels encountered inside instruments. It offers an uncolored and clean sound with a superflat frequency response.

A microphone with a figure-8 (bidirectional) pickup pattern is sensitive to sound coming from the front and coming from the rear, but has a very-high rejection to sound coming from the sides. Great for mid/side and Blumlein stereo applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I plug the NTG3 directly into the canon 5d Mark iv?

A: No. The NTG3 requires phantom power which the camera does not provide so you will need to use an adapter that will power the mic. The Beachtek DXA-MICRO-PRO (B&H # BEDXAMICROP) will supply phantom power and also has a high quality preamp built in. Many recorders and mixers will also supply phantom power. Please feel free to contact us if you would like further assistance.

Q: 2. When I used it in my room ( it has very low echo ) but after recording I didn't get clear sound , is using the microphone windscreen will make it better ?

A: If your audio has a lot of rumbling and low frequency noise, or a lot of plosive noise coming from the mouth, a windscreen can help. If you are having other problems in the recording, there may be other issues with your setup causing that, and a windscreen will not help. Please contact us at audio@bhphoto.com , call in by phone, or chat with us, so we can help you get the most out of your Rode NTG3 microphone.

Q: 3. Will the 3.5mm audio input power an xlr microphone with the correct adaptor? I would be interested in using a Rode NTG3 with this camera

A: It will not. While it is possible to adapt a Microphone with an XLR connection to a camera with a 3.5mm audio input, that microphone will need to be battery powered. If the battery requires phantom power, such as the NTG3, it will not be able to power the microphone. Phantom Power is not carried through 3.5mm connections.

Q: 4. Would this work with a canon c200?

A: This will work with the XLR inputs on the C200.

Q: 5. Can I use this nodal slide with Really Right Stuff PG-01 Compact Pano-Gimbal Head with Lever-Release Clamp, and Leveling Base?

A: Yes, since both are arca-swiss compatible. However, the general consensus is that it's recommend that you use their own nodal slide due to slight variations in arca-swiss plate specifications. There is a PG-01 kit that comes with a nodal slide as well, albeit slightly shorter, here https://bhpho.to/3bNW28c

Q: 6. Genera menos ruido que la a7s II A su maximo iso? Es mejor??

A: With the ability to shoot at ISO Settings Up to 204,800 this camera should compare well with the A7SII. However we are not aware of any side-by-side analysis of these two cameras to truly compare them.

Q: 7. Is this camera have internal recording capacity? If not that means recording out of the second SDI at effect 8bit 422... Why "gain" higher ISO sensitivity compared to the C100 Mark II?

A: This camera does not have internal recording capabilities. However it does output 422 10-Bit through SDI and is a high sensitivity camera that can go up to 204,800 ISO.

Q: 8. Hi, I'd like to connect this mic to a Zoom H6, can you please recommend a cable to go with it? Thank you!

A: As far as cords go, as long as you choose a quality XLR cable you will be fine. I would look at a Hosa Technology XLR to XLR cord.a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/828151-REG target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/828151-REG/aBut, if you don't want to buy a cable, the NTG3 actually fits just straight into the recorder. You can just plug it right into one of the four XLR inputs on the H6. Just a fun fact

Q: 9. Does this fit in the Sony FS5 mount holder out of the box?

A: This mic should the camera's microphone mount fairly snugly - right out of the box.

Q: 10. Can the mic bracket be removed?

A: The included bracket cannot be removed, but the foot on the stand can be removed to allow this product to mount to a standard boom arm. Thank you for shopping at B&H!
