The Micro Touch-and-Go Plate from Wooden Camera is a Sachtler S-style quick release plate for select fluid heads. This quick release plate features a lighter weight and recessed design, and it comes with 1/4-20 and 3/8" camera screws.

Q: 1. Will this attach directly to the 12K SSD drive? If so, what is the exact dimensions of the camera with both the SSD drive and this V mount plate attached?

A: It will attach onto the SSD Recorder, which features a passthrough cable for your camera’s battery power supply, so you can attach V-mount or gold mount batteries to the rear of the camera behind the recorder. Exact dimension specs are not provided by manufacturer at this time and we have no way of physically verifying this, since products are unavailable in our warehouse as of this writing.

Q: 2. Is there a longer plate that will work on the activ10t fluid head?

A: There is not a plate longer than the Sachtler 0364 Touch & Go Quick Release Plate due to the size of the plate insert on the Sachtler aktiv10T Touch & Go Fluid Head with SpeedLevel & 7-Step Drag (100mm).

Q: 3. Does anyone know if this will work with the Core SWX XP-L90A 14.8 VDC?

A: The plate is compatible with any Gold Mount cinema battery.

Q: 4. Am I correct in thinking this unregulated Dtap would power a RED or Arri mini 4k camera from D-tap? Also, when would a regulated Dtap be required?

A: As a former motion picture camera assistant, one of the greatest fears is the camera stopping in the middle of a take. Therefore using a P-Tap is particularly nerve racking since there is no locking mechanism to the plug. Therefore I would highly recommend a proper plate for each camera. It appears that the cameras can do their own regulation.

Q: 5. The product photo shows IDX. Is this the same item as BH#IDPV2?

A: IDX does make this plate for Wooden Camera, but it is not the same product as BH#IDPV2. IDPV2 has a single D-Tap connection, this plate has a two D-Tap connections.

Q: 6. Will this attach to the Ursa 12K?

A: Yes, the Wooden Camera WC Pro Plate will fit onto the Blackmagic URSA 12K.

A: The plate you have referenced lacks the threaded mounting holes for V-mount and Gold Mount battery plates. To create a similar setup that would receive either plate style please instead review our Rod Clamp 15mm LW, and either the Bolt On Battery Mount or Battery Slide.

A: No, the WC plate doesn't have that switch you can see in the side view that regulates the voltage for different devices. The WC plate is unregulated, but I personally have never used or needed a P-tap device that didn't work with standard v-mount battery voltage ranges. The WC plate is cheaper, but it depends if you need to regulate power or not.

Q: 10. will this mount to the WC directors cage V2?

A: Yes it will.

I can see the straps don’t work for some and you really can’t please everyone but I have both the I-plate and L-plate on an X100V and X-T4. The well thought out design and materials is top notch. The fact you’re provided a tripod/capture plate with the micro clutch is amazing for the value. Fits comfortably for me and I’m excited to use it on my future trips! Only thing I wish was for the L-plate to be slightly larger in the front to balance the X-T4 weight from falling forward and allow easier access to the tool. 5/5 for me! 5

Writing this to counteract the one negative review here. This product from all the videos and information provided looks to be very well thought out. I like the inclusion of the tripod plate and the built in tool. Always a plus to have a tool that though specific/one of kind has a function and does its job. The attention to detail here is stunning. Based on what I see the overall look and feel of this product leave no doubts in my mind as to just how wonderfully it will function. I am truly looking forward to this being mine very soon. Swapping that battery will be a cake walk too ;) 5

Just fitted to a Nikon Z6 ii. As expected from PD, build quality is excellent (this thing is manufactured to very tight tolerances). It’s very adjustable - maybe more so than the installation photos suggest (the retaining pin is fully removable, allowing for full adjustment of the strap). Personally I appreciated the little touches such as the triangle clip tool. And the engraved markers on the plate. Replaced a normal clutch that was just far too big for small mirrorless - bravo PD for listening to our feedback and bringing this to market 5

Just changed from Nikon DSLRs to Fuji X-T5 to save weight and space. Always used the original clutch on the Nikons. Tried to use Clutch on the X-T5, better than nothing but not secure and not comfortable. Thought to myself they need to make a smaller version. And then you did, perfect timing guys. Very pleased with the fit, comfort and access to the controls. 1 constructive criticism. Although the proprietary flat tool is very securely attached (magnetically) to the base plate, in use my fingers are not magnetic. I can envisage dropping this and loosing it. I would if possible like to purchase a spare, just in case. 5
