Q: 4. will this hold a nikon d850 with battery grip and 70-200 lens attached?

A: I've tried it with the d610, battery grip, and 70-200 - and while I don't think there would be an issue holding it I think it's a pretty bad set up. With the battery grip, the weight of the camera tilts the whole clip and your backpack strap in a rather uncomfortable way.Take away the battery grip and you'll be fine. But the issue isn't that it's loose or not strong enough, just not comfortable at all.

Q: 5. Does this system allow for attaching the HoldFast Moneymaker bolt to the camera plate?

A: Unfortunately, there is no way to attach the HoldFast bolt to the Peak Design low-profile plate, or to use it with the Peak Design Capture Clip v3. The Capture Clip's proprietary design does not allow for many third-party accessories to integrate well with its mechanism.

A: Yes it will be compatible.

A: Peak Design Capture Camera Clip v3 (Silver) is being used by women and it is not uncomfortable. I have not heard any complaints.

I've been shooting with the belt clip for years now and this new version is great. I like it much better than the original since it has the permanent screws now. I also appreciate that the release button is on the side instead of on the corner at an angle. Having the weight on my waist allows me to shoot for long hours without pain and I'm never having to worry about the camera being in my way when I need both my hands. Love this product! 5

I’ve been using Capture for a couple years and it works as well today as the day I bought it. I’ve had my D850 paired with everything from a 50mm to a 500mm and never worried when scrambling up rocks or hopping across a stream. 5

This is essential if you are backpacking with a camera. It keeps the camera safe and ready. Now I don't have to worry about scrambling up rocks and having the camera on a strap lean into the rocks. It takes the weight off your neck when you aren't using the camera. I borrowed my neighbors for a 50 mile trip in Yosemite and decided to buy my own. 5

This was advertised as a clip for a backpack. I used it one day as that, quickly learned it gets sore on your shoulder. Switched to to a belt clip, AND GAME CHANGER! Walking around NYC with my Sony a7iii with a 24-105 lens on it was like nothing! Great piece of gear! 5

This is an essential piece of my kit. Honestly, I don’t know how I used to live without it. I’ve used the capture clip in urban settings, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, on safari, in Iceland, walking the countryside of Italy, in a single prop plane above the plains of East Africa, you name it. Where I go, this clip goes with me. It works great on the Peak Design backpack, but I’ve also used it on a hydration pack when I needed to go light for an intense climb. The convenience of having your camera ready at a moments notice is invaluable. Highly recommend. 5
