Then you can plug the TX-1CXQ to the Thunderbolt 3 dock or self-powered device. The reason you need to do this is because the Thunderbolt 2 port doesn’t have enough power to power a Thunderbolt 3 bus powered device.

A: The RED CFast card has special firmware that is customized for the RED DSMC3 camera bodies to provide additional reliability when recording. Other than the firmware it is essentially the same CFast as the Anglebird AV Pro. In fact, if you look at the back of the card you will see that RED partnered with Angelbird to develop the CFast card (you can find more info on that here https://bit.ly/3mYojjn). If you plan to use CFast card for one of the RED DSMC3 camera bodies then the RED branded card offers slightly more reliability than the others cards. If you plan to use the card with other cameras then there is no benefit to choosing the RED branded card.
