When used as a complete set, the three dots align horizontally, forming an easily discernible sight-alignment. The sight can withstand stout recoil, harsh field conditions as well as solvents. This model is compatible with S&W K, L & N frame revolvers with adjustable rear sights and slide-in front sight. It includes an adjustable rear sight and a front sight, both with green dots. The front sight replaces only the blade in S&N ramp-style front sights. It is not compatible with the mountain-gun series.

A: Hi Richard, the inserts are totally removable. I have two of these, one I left the insert in for lenses and a flash and the other for an extra camera body. I also move both of them from a large hard case with wheels to a soft shoulder bag when the job calls for it. It's a great system, I only move the units and my gear stays right were I had it.
