The white B2D Directional Lavalier Mic, Low Gain, with Hardwired LEMO 3-Pin Connector Cable for Lectrosonics and Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters from Countryman features a lightweight 0.18-ounce body that was designed to be discreetly mounted and can be used for miking news anchors, actors in a film or theater setting, lecturers in a school or house of worship type environment.

The B2D's tight hypercardioid pattern gives the mic an extra 6-10 dB of headroom compared to an omnidirectional lavalier mic, which means less problems with feedback, ambient noise, room rumble, and phase cancellations when using multiple microphones.

This version offers the lowest gain for powerful vocals such as in opera, which requires a higher overload level. In addition, the B2D lavalier is equipped with a hardwired cable that terminates to a LEMO 3-pin connector for direct connection to Lectrosonics and Sennheiser SSM and SK 2000 wireless bodypack transmitters.

With its small size and sensitivity options, the B2D can easily hide behind a shirt button. This makes it invisible for film work, theater, live shows, or any other application.

Natural vocal reproduction and a tight polar pattern make the B2D ideal for broadcast and is a dependable workhorse you can count on to perform night after night.

The isolation clips minimize clothing and vibration noise while allowing 360° of rotation for easy positioning of the microphone.

This microphone is tuned to a frequency response that is natural and intelligible at a wide range of distances from the mouth. It delivers wonderful sound quality on the chest (8-10" from the mouth) or towards the collar (3-4").

Low (blue band, -20 dB re W4) for operatic vocals

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use it with the Sennheiser MKE 600? Will I need an attenuation cable?

A: The MKE600 will work with no other adapters needed

Q: 2. Will a sennheiser mke 600 fit in this?

A: The MKE-600 would be compatible as well.

Q: 3. does anyone know where I can get the interchangeable mike clips for MKH-416/MKH-816, or MKH-20 through MKH-70?

A: Currently, these 3 different clips are available only through the Sennheiser parts store; part numbers: 038263, 035057 and 035056. You may reach a representative directly at 860-434-9190.

Q: 4. Does this recorder support exFAT file system? Does it have a limit to file size? Some recorders break and restart new files at a 2gig limit. Can you make a 3, or 5 or 8 gig single audio file?

A: No, the F2 records 32-bit float WAV file format and is BWF compatible. It records to microSD cards up to 512 GB maximum. The recording continues until you press the stop button and does not automatically break in the middle to start a new file so you can make 3, 4, or 5 GB single recorded audio files.

Q: 5. What makes sennheiser's fur any different than a much more inexpensive brand please?

A: Sennheiser's long track record for quality in assurance, materials, and workmanship is difficult to match.

Q: 6. Can it work with a Sanken COS-11D lav mic?

A: No, the Sanken COS-11D Lavalier Microphone is not compatible for use with the Zoom F2 Field Recorder. The mic requires 3 to 10V of plug-in power and the recorder can only supply 2.5V.

Q: 7. In the basic microphone product pictures, the last picture shows the locking TRS plug terminating to a lightning plug in the iPhone picture. Is that included???

A: No, the cable that is shown in the last photo terminates to a USB-C connector and it is the Sennheiser CL 35 USB-C Locking 3.5mm TRS to USB Type-C Coiled Cable (B&H # SECL35USBC) which is sold separately. Sennheiser does not offer any cables that terminate to a Lightning connector but we do have a compatible Lightning cable that will work which is the Saramonic LC-C35 Locking 3.5mm Connector to Apple-Certified Lightning Output Cable (B&H # SALCC35). The other option for connecting the mic to an iOS device with a Lightning connector is to use the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APLAADAP) together with the TRRS cable that is already included with the mic, which is the Sennheiser CL 35 TRRS Locking 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRRS Coiled Cable (B&H # SECL35TRR).

Q: 8. Is this for the receiver piece?

A: Yes the Sennheiser BA 20 is made for compatibility with the Sennheiser AVX EKP Receiver.

Q: 9. What's the Equivalent Input Noise (EIN) ? Thanks

A: The manufacturer has not specified what the EIN is for the Zoom F2 Ultracompact Portable Field Recorder with Lavalier Microphone.

Q: 10. would this be able to record off a dj soundboard?

A: The Zoom F2 Ultracompact Portable Field Recorder is intended for use with a microphone for recording mic level signal. A mixer's output signal is line level. In order to connect a mixer to the input of the F2, you will need to use adapters as well as a line-to-mic attenuator. Since the F2 has a locking 3.5mm TRS input, you can use the Sennheiser CL-1 Cable (B&H # SECL1), which has a locking 3.5mm TRS male connector on one side and a standard non-locking 3.5mm TRS male connector on the other side. Then, you can attach a coupler like the Hosa Technology GMM303 3.5mm Female Stereo Mini to 3.5mm Female Stereo Mini Adapter (B&H # HOASMFSMF). Since many DJ mixers have RCA output, you can use the Sescom Attenuating Line to Mic Level Cable - TRS Male to Male RCA, 18" (B&H # SES43DBMZ2P), which has a built-in attenuator to convert the line level signal from the mixer to mic level while also providing connections to the mixer's RCA output.

Extremely impressed with the service provided by the Sonos tech team. We experienced a problem with a Play 5 speaker (which I might add was out of warranty). Their technicians spent hours on the phone troubleshooting and once the issue was identified they even replaced the speaker. Sonos definitely stand by their product and I would highly recommend them.

Really enjoy the sound sound quality from Play 5 and the trouble free ability change music selections. I deliberated over the Google Max and Play 5. Decided sound quality was more important to me. I really wish the Play 5 had wireless blue tooth for downloaded music. I tried the option of plugging my phone in and it worked but the volume had to be turned up to max to hear it. Don't what that is about. If your tech department reads this and knows what the problem I would certainly like to be informed. Top quality product , sure I will enjoy it for years to come

I got a Sonos Play:5 because I had been hearing about Sonos for a while now. I was extremely impressed with the sound quality and how Sonos works, I immediately ordered another Play: 5 and 2 Ones. It's very impressive how Sonos creates its own wireless mesh network once one device is hardwired. I was somewhat less impressed with the audio quality of the One - particularly in the low end, but it's completely understandable. I could see building out the collection more in the future by adding a sub and possibly a play bar. In terms of the services available throughout he Sonos App, for the most part everything works great although there are some things that I frequently listen to that are unavailable through Sonos... Mixcloud, Podcasts, YouTube and other radio shows. I can of course get around this problem by broadcasting from one of my computers or devices, but sometimes this causes speakers to be out of sync with one and other, causing a delay / echo between rooms. I love the fact that you can have something playing around the entire house and it not having to be so loud that you can't talk over it if desired. I am especially looking forward to using it this weekend to have the Super Bowl commentary playing throughout the house so not to miss anything, but not needing it to be so loud - just constant, its just right. I am a huge fan of Sonos and look forward to growing my collection in the future

We use the speakers in our office, living room/dining room, and kitchen. We wanted music in the rooms where we entertain, but did not want to get into running wires inside walls, etc.
