Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the difference between this 25 MM and the other version labeled manual focus? They look the same.

A: They are the exact same lens.

Q: 2. what's the difference betwen the microprime cine lenses and the cine II lenses of SLR Magic? I mean, I know the size and weight thing, but I mean in terms of image quality (vignette and aberration at wide open). Thanks!

A: The SLR Magic MicroPrime lenses are built up around the optics of their Cine Lenses. Optically there may not be a difference, the difference in this case would be that a set of MicroPrimes will be uniform in design for being able to be quickly switched on a rig.

Q: 3. what is the front diameter size?

A: 77 mm

Q: 4. Does this come with a pouch?

A: A pouch is not included.

Q: 5. Although this is an mft mount, will this lens cover a super 35 sensor?

A: We're afraid not. This lens covers a Micro Four Thirds sensor only.

Q: 6. Hi! What is material of this lens?

A: This is a well constructed lens which has a body made of mostly an aluminum alloy.

Q: 7. I use MFT cams these days, but I could shift to S35 or full frame in the near future. Wout it make sense to buy a Meike lense that's EF mount and use a adaptor, instead of going MFT mount? Since the lens will be used fully manual I don't really see what I'm losing by adapting a S35 or full frame lense to my MFT cam? Any input? Thanks!

A: Yes, if you would like to keep the option open for use with a super 35 or full frame sensor, as well as for use with a micro four thirds, it would be advisable to use full frame EF options, when available. However, not always are the same options available for both mounts. For a Meike lens in the 50mm range there are both EF and micro four thirds options available. Typically there would be no difference when used with a well made adapter such as the Metabones T Smart Adapter for Canon EF to Micro Four Thirds. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1182562-REG/metabones_mb_ef_m43_bt2_canon_ef_to_mft.html

Q: 8. What is the minimum focus distance on this 25mm lens? and the 35mm?

A: The minimum focus distance on the 25mm lens will be around 10 inches. While it will be around a foot on the 35mm, B&H # SLRMMPC35.

Q: 9. does this 25mm work with Canon C70?

A: Yes, the Meike 25mm T2.2 Manual Focus Cinema Prime Lens (Canon RF) is compatible with the Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera (RF Mount).

Q: 10. What is the outside diameter of the lens? (I want to use it with a clamp on matte box)

A: We believe it has an 85mm outer diameter.
