The cocoa Countryman E6X Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and TA4F Connector for CAD Audio Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6X earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to CAD Audio WX155A wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. there are different models for tascam vs zoom. why? and are either suitable for zoom h1n, which is not mentioned? thanks.

A: The H1n is quite a bit smaller than the other recorders, so it will not have a snug fit. You can use the Rycote 041119 recorder suspension system, though: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/758975-REG/Rycote_041119_041119_Portable_Recorder_Suspension.html

Q: 2. Is this mic Omnidirectional? The official website says it's unidirectional.

A: Per manufacturer, "Built-in swivel allows you to point it at the sound you want to capture, Its unidirectional pickup pattern provides smooth and even sounding audio." I have asked our Web department to correct our information.

Q: 3. Can this device be connected to a Sony soundbar instead of the connected TV and still get the same funcationality?

A: It depends on whether the soundbar in question has an optical audio output that can be connected to the audio input on the Sony WLA-NS7 TV Bluetooth Audio Transmitter. Most soundbars do not have an optical audio output.

Q: 5. How is this product different from Saramonic SmartMic ?

A: So the Rode Smartlav is a TRRS lavalier mic the can be attached to a shirt or a blouse designed for a smartphones but can easily be converted to work with dslr or camcorder via a trrs to trs adapter as well. And the Saramonic SR-XM1 is a omni mic designed to be attached directly to a consumer camcorder or dslr giving you a further away sound vs Smartlav , so Smartlav to be woren on clothing giving you better sound vs Saramonic to be attached to a camera giving you far away sound . Hope this helps

Q: 9. Can two be used in a PC for greater performance?
