Bought this add-on for my just-purchased Panasonic V720 camcorder. There's some vignetting but to be expected with .66x magnification as the comparable Pansonic wide-angle is .75x. Just zoom out a bit and you're fine. Lens construction looks pretty good; image quality looks comparable to the V720 lens, threads in perfectly with V720. I got this used lens for $50 off the retail price. B&H rated 9 for Shows signs of use, but very clean... Honestly it looks brand-new with no nicks or scratches on the lens casing. What a bargain!

We use this on the front of our Panasonic SD700 camcorder - and it works a treat! The picture quality is impressive with little to no blurriness at the edges. Build quality is solid and the rigid protective case is welcome. No problems recommending this.

great product for the price. doesn't interfere with quality. gives a nice mellow wide angle view.

I'm using this on JVC HM-1. This camcorer is good but lacks coverage at wide range. The Raynox HD-6600 fits perfectly on HM-1 and works just great. it comes even with caps for its back and front (though the quality of the cap isnt as good as the lens itself). AND this is made in JAPAN! I use this converter to take videos of my kids, meaning you often need wide range coverage. it's a bit heavy but the balance when it's on HM-1 is great. Overall I'm pretty satisfied at this product and recomment this for HM-1 users.

This lens made my life much easier! I am so glad, one more time, that B&H has such a fabulous staff. A gentlemen spend quite some time researching for me what will work to make my 4K camcorder record with a wider angle at Stadium. He new of the Raynox lens but none of the ring included fit my 49 mm Panasonic. After some research he found a ring which will adapt to my camcorder and to the lens. Now I just record the shows and post it. SIMPLE and fantastic.

Used to attach to a Panasonic SD700 and SD600. Any 0.66 would nicely squeezes more field of view into the camera without too much distortion - but there was little/none with this. Also, no darkening or shadows at the corner. There are many cheaper (much cheaper) add-on wide/long converter lens, but while lens like this (and other makes) are a bit pricey, they give a nice clear image, don't distort much, and in the case of my SD600/700 didn't interefere with any of the auto/manual controls. A nice, but not essentual, addition to your camcorder kit when shooting indoors in cramped conditions or going into a picturesque landscape. (I would especially recommend this for Panasonic SD600/700 owners as this fits directly onto the camcorder without the need for a step up/down ring. Even a well-made conversion lens, when not properly screwing onto the camcorder's actual lens, can produce some poor results.)

I use this lens with a Panasonic TM-700 camcorder. Very well made. Good optics. No visible distortion. Autofocus works well withy this lens

This lens perfectly fits onto the 46mm lens of my video camera without an ugly step. I love the fact that it has a front thread for filters etc., although make sure to use wide angle filters to avoid vignetting. I am currently experimenting with putting a circular polarizer behind this lens. I keep a 72mm WA UV on the front for protection. Unlike some auxiliary lenses costing much more, there is no obvious color aberation bordering highlights. Zooming through presents no problem. I am very pleased with this inexpensive add-on. I am a serious amateur also shooting several Nikon still bodies including D2X with a barn of lenses some dating back to 1964.

I use it with my hdc tm700 and it works perfectly with very minimal distortion and very fine detail. As is expected with any wide angle lens, there is some noticeable lens flare is used outside. Consider purchasing a lens hood. Otherwise, this was a perfect choice! Very affordable and not too heavy.

Used this lens with my JVD HD 100 camera and it was excellent. For the price, I was extremely happy. No out of focus at the end of zoom - worked great. Would highly recommend.
