The black Isomax 2 All-Purpose Microphone, Low Gain with TA4F Connector for Line 6 TBP12 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman features a frequency-independent capsule that delivers tight pattern control as an all-around instrument microphone. It can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitar, flute, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.
The Isomax 2 is built with exceptional gain before feedback and excellent rejection of the surrounding environment. It is lightweight, easy to use, and is designed to handle very-high sound pressure levels. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, basic clip, and carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Line 6 TBP12 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Inside or outside musical instruments, placed on or hung over stages, and hidden in sets for theater, motion pictures, and TV, the mic can also be used as an audience mic or stage floor mic.
The microphone is sleek, small, and lightweight and will not distract the instrumentalist or the public. It is easy to hang without scaffolding, which eliminates the risk of bulky equipment falling on performers.
Very-low distortion at high SPL levels encountered inside instruments. It offers an uncolored and clean sound with a superflat frequency response.
The hypercardioid polar pattern has a narrower pickup pattern in its front than the cardioid polar pattern. It offers better rejection to ambient noise and the working distance is about twice that of the omni polar pattern. The hypercardioid has a small “pickup lobe” directly behind the microphone and exhibits maximum rejection areas behind and to the sides (about 60 degrees away from the rear of the microphone on either side) of the mic. The hypercardioid pattern works best when the loudest unwanted sounds—like speakers—can be positioned in these nulls.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. What is the maximum allowable input level on the H6 stereo mini jack?
A: Unfortunately that spec is not provided on the H6 from Zoom but you can contact them directly by phone or email on the following page to look into these details with Zoom Audio directly. https://zoomcorp.com/en/us/contact/
Q: 2. how can I fit this on my sonya7iii
A: You would need a shockmount to hold the mic, that has a cold shoe on it. Here's an example: AUDUSM1. Please note, this mic requires phantom power to run. You will need an external mixer/ recorder with XLR inputs and phantom power to use the mic. Here's an example: B&H # TADR60DMKII.
Q: 3. What is the signal to noise ratio on the Zoom H6?
A: Zoom has elected not to publish this specification. There are no documents available to support this spec. Please feel free to contact Zoom directly:Tel: (631) - 542-5270Email: info@a href= http://zoom-na.com target= _blank zoom-na.com/aWebsite: a href= http://www.zoom-na.com target= _blank http://www.zoom-na.com/a
Q: 4. What is the frequency response range for the included xy mic? It's not in the specs & it's not even on the zoom h6 website. thx
A: The manufacturer has not provided frequency response ratings for any of the Zoom mic capsules, but I would estimate it to be 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
Q: 5. I want to transfer 4 discrete tracks from my Tascam 3340s without mixing into stereo. Will the H6 record four tracks simultaneously? I know many other recorders can only record two tracks, then another two.
A: Hi, Ed S. The ZOOM H6 can record 4 audio tracks simultaneously. Just run each of your 4 tracks separately out of your 3340s and separately into each track of the ZOOM H6. Don't forget to read the owners manual to set the quality of your new recording. The ZOOM H6 is an excellent product that will actually allow you to record 6 separate channels simultaneously (with an additional module). I hope my answer helps you. Thanks.
Q: 6. Is this Mic compatible with the Canon G40?
A: Hello Trey, unfortunately, you need 48v phantom power to operate the NTG3. It doesn't appear the G40 provides that. I recommend the Rode NTG2 or 4+ as they have power in the microphone.
Q: 7. If we add the +2-XLR capsule on top, will 6 channels show on the H6 display instead of 4?
A: The Zoom H6 would have the same channel display except the mics connected to the Zoom EXH-6 capsule will come up on the channels that are labeled 'XY' on the display.
Q: 8. If I get the boom pole that comes with the basic kit here, what is the recommended boom stand I should get to use with it?
A: You can use a basic model like the Auray Boom Pole Holder (B&H # AUBPH) or the BoomMate BPH Microphone Boom Pole Holder (B&H # BOBPH) together with a grip head such as the Impact 2.5" Diameter (B&H # IMKCP200).
Q: 9. How well does the Rode NTG3 pair with the Tascam Dr-701D or Dr-70D? Is the quality of the results great to justify buying it or would I be better off getting an Audio Technica mic?
A: The NTG3 will pair well with either recorder. It is more a question of whether your project, style, or budget is suited/comfortable with this microphone. That said, Audio-Technica offers comparable microphones at a similar price point.
Q: 10. Does the NTG3B come with a battery?
A: No. The RODE NTG3B Shotgun Microphone operates using phantom power. It does not have the options of being powered with a battery.
