Power select Canon cameras with the LP-E6NH rechargeable lithium-ion battery. This battery has the same form factor as the LP-E6/LP-E6N battery, and can be used as a higher capacity substitute for those batteries. The 2130mAh capacity should provide an increase in battery life of approximately 14%. Additionally, it supports in-camera charging via USB with select camera models and may also be used in cameras and other devices powered by earlier versions of the LP-E6N and LP-E6 batteries.

You may need to get a few extra if you purchase the Canon R5. The fast shutter speeds 20fps & image review seem to drain the power fairly quickly. I would recommend getting the extra battery grip a Couple of extra batteries and a dual charger. I've only had it a few days but the batteries ran out before I did. Third party Batteries will not work in the R5 it has to be Genuine Canon batteries the camera will shut down unless it's Canon. 5

Bought this so I could use with the battery that came with the camera in my BG-R10 for the R5 and it worked great. Was able to do an hour of video plus some pictures and still had about half of charge left. 5

I bought this for the R5. I was very happy that it will also work in my 5D Mark iv. I used the R5 to video for two hours off and on (camera on the whole time) and the battery only went down 2 bars. So far good battery life 5
