Designed for the professional turntablist, the DJ-Tech DIF-2S MKII is a high-performance 2-channel DJ scratch mixer that features an integrated premium quality contactless Audio Innovate mini innoFADER as the crossfader, which offers remarkable stability and performance. The smooth response from the contactless design provides a long life of over 4,000,000 cycles. The cut-in position is user adjustable with simple calibration steps, while the reverse switch allows DJs to perform a variety of scratch techniques. The DIF-2S MKII is also compatible with the original innoFADER for future upgrades.

The DVS mode allows easy switching between ordinary analog turntable and a DVS setup. At the rear of the DIF-2S MKII, the pairs of DVS Send and Return RCA connectors allow DJs to connect to an audio interface such as the SL3 for Serato. By simply switching to the Timecode channel on the control panel, DJs can use the mixer as a DVS setup without changing any cables.

The mixer features a 3-band equalizer per channel, a microphone input, both 1/4" and 3.5mm headphones outputs, a pair of 1/4" master outputs, and a stereo RCA booth output with a dedicated volume control. The DIF-2S MKII ships with an IEC power cable.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you connect a camera to the master out? Like a canon c100m2?

A: Yes. Just so long as the camera has a LINE level input.

Q: 2. inputs 9 and 10, are used to feed stereo audio from a laptop using 3.5mm to rca cables?

A: Yes, input channels 9 and 10 on the Zoom LiveTrak L-12 - 12-Channel Digital Mixer & Multitrack Recorder can be used to connect a line-level signal from a stereo source using either the RCA or 1/4" connectors, so you can use a 3.5mm TRS to dual RCA cable to connect the 3.5mm output from a laptop computer to the L12.

Q: 3. Can it fit around a Zhiyun Crane v2 as well?

A: Unfortunately no, the column on the Zhiyun Crane V2 does not match the shape of the Zhiyun Crane 2S.

Q: 4. Purchased this mixer & so far so good. I primarily use it for video depositions, with 5 mic inputs. Does anyone know if it's possible to monitor the audio channel by channel?

A: There are no solo buttons on the Zoom LiveTrak L-8. But you could mute the other channels and just listen to the one you want.

Q: 5. Does this have a built in metronome? can you quantize the audio as well to tighten up the tracks?

A: Yes to the metronome. The Livetrak records audio, not MIDI data, so you cannot quantize an audio waveform (that I know of) The unit is simply amazing and I use it to record podcasts on location as well as recording bands. The trick is to make sure your input levels are steady at 3/4 of the meter (VUFS) and do the final mixing in your DAW.

Q: 6. The spec says it has 12 USB ins. 8 channels plus master faders. It would be 10 channels instead. But why 12?

A: Channels 7 and 8 are both stereo channels. In this case, you have 6 mono inputs for channels 1-6, 2 stereo inputs (for a total of 4) for channels 7-8, and a stereo input for the Master channel. I have listed the channel order when used as an audio interface below: 1: Master L 2: Master R 3: Channel 1 4: Channel 2 5: Channel 3 6: Channel 4 7: Channel 5 8: Channel 6 9: Channel 7 L 10: Channel 7 R 11: Channel 8 L 12: Channel 8 R

Q: 7. How do you change master out xlr's from line to mic out or vise versa?

A: The Zoom LiveTrak L-8 Portable 8-Channel Digital Mixer and Multitrack Recorder's Master Out XLR connections are specified at Line Level and do not have an option to be changed to Mic Level. It does appear that the output level from the XLR connectors can be affected by the Master Fader, however.

Q: 8. Does this console has clock?

A: If you are referring to a clock that tells time, then it does not.

Q: 9. Its any audio delay option?

A: Yes, the LiveTrak L-8 does have built-in delay and reverb effects and the delay effect can be synchronized with the tempo of your recording project.

Q: 10. On Dec.4,2019, Zoom customer support answered "They(Ch7,8)are each mono inputs" then on Mar.2nd, 2020, Zoom customer support said "Channels 7 and 8 are both stereo channels" . Which answer is correct? Are ch7,8 two mono or two stereo?

A: It depends on the input. If you are using the 1/4" input it's mono, the 3.5mm is stereo (using both 7 and 8).
