Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any indication that Phottix will be releasing a controller that also fits the new Sony hot shoe? I would like the buy two of these flashes for off camera and a Odin controller for on camera that fits with out any adaptor.

A: they may in the future, but for now, you either use the odin transmitter with the minolta shoe adapter, or use one of the mitros+ flashes as the transmitter. you can set it so your 'transmitter flash' doesnt fire, and your two offset flashes do.

Q: 2. i want to know which quantum turbo cable i can use with the phottix motros nikon flash?

A: I'm not really sure i comes with a adapter and I use the Altura battery pack and it work nice

Q: 3. is it compatible with nikon df, sorry didnt know this is the canon version. i was brought by a nikon link here. does the nikon mitros + work with nikon df.tq

A: Yes, the Phottix Mitros+ TTL Flash for Nikon will be fully compatible with the Nikon Df. You can find the Nikon version of this flash here: http://bhpho.to/1famKbm

Q: 4. Is there an ETA on these flashes? Was there an issue in production from the manufacture? From what I see these were available for a short while at the end of last year at some level.... and now are they on back order?

A: Unfortunately as this item is on backorder from the manufacturer, we cannot provide an ETA at the current time. I apologize for the inconvenience, however you can select to be informed when this product returns to our inventory by clicking on the Notify When in Stock icon on the product page.

Q: 5. Hi is there a hole at the bottom of the flash stand to add a tripod plate? or do I need to get some adapter if I want to put a flash on a tripod, thanks:)

A: The Mitros+ flash comes with a case, diffuser and shoe that accepts the Sony Multi-Interface shoe and has a 1/4-20 socket on the bottom to enable attaching the flash to a tripod or light stand. Which is what I do all the time.

Q: 6. is it compatible with nikon df

A: You could use the Phottix Mitros+ TTL Flash for Canon Cameras on the Nikon Df, though you would need to set everything manually. For the Nikon Df, your best bet would be the model made for Nikon (B&H # PHMTTFN).

Q: 7. So if I'm reading this correctly this Mitros flash (while on camera) can control via radio the Lumopro 180R flash which has an Odin receiver built in?

A: Hello Sean,Please do proper research before purchasing this item. While I received several positive reviews from personal friends in the industry, I must say that the system failed me during a pre-wedding event this past Thursday! Unfortunately, I did not have a backup speedlight system as I always carry 3-4 speedlights to every event however, all three failed and many images were ruined.I have contacted Phottix and will be personally taking all of my speedlights to their service center first thing tomorrow morning!

Q: 8. Thank you for your rpevious answer-I just want to confirm that this will only work as a master on radio transmission with other flashes of the same brand, Phottix, and for Canon flashes it only works on infrared?

A: This flash can be used as a master to control other flashes. It has two systems built in but not at the same time. If you want to use the radio TTL system it only works with other Phottix flashes. The other is the Canon IR system and that can control other flashes that use that system like a Canon 430ex ll, http://bhpho.to/1kxamid

Q: 9. I've read a lot of problems with mitro+ not working.....has anyone experience this problem?

A: I've had no problems, works as expected with my Phoenix camera-mounted trigger. I think it's a great package.

Q: 10. Will this flash trigger a Canon 480ex wirelessly or only flashes of the same brand?

A: This flash can trigger Canon flashes optically with an infrared pulse.
