This adapter has a fully manual design, which does not relay electronic communication between the camera and lens, and maintains infinity focus along with the ability to use aperture priority metering. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will I be able to control exposure and get AF from my canon lenses?

A: No, you don't have any electronic communication with this adapter.

Q: 2. Hi Everyone. Hyperfocal Distance??? I know the M series is a 1.6 crop, so if I use an EF 35mm 1.4 lens on this adapter, do I simply plug in 35mm @1.4 on M camera in hyperlocal calculator or do I convert it first to 56mm, then plug in @1.4 on M in the hyperlfocal calculator? Thanks friends!

A: It would be better to convert to to 56mm, then plug in @4 on M in the hyperfocal calculator.

Q: 3. Will this adapter work on a Canon SL-1? Thanks

A: I don't have an SL-1 but I don't see why it wouldn't

Q: 4. Is Fujica x-mount the same as Fujifilm x-mount?

A: The Fujica X mount is not the same as the Fujifilm X mount, no. The Fujica X mount was a mount used by Fujifilm for their Fujica series of manual focus SLRs (discontinued in the 1980s). The Fujifilm X mount is the mount of Fujifilms current X series of mirrorless cameras.

Q: 5. Will this work with the Rebel T2i?Many thanks!

A: Yes, the FotodioX Canon FD Lens to Canon EOS Camera adapter will enable you to mount Canon FD lenses on a Canon EOS body, such as the Canon EOS Rebel T2i.

Q: 6. Will this adapter work on my 35mm film EOS ElanIIe and My film EOS Rebel Ti , using the same manual mode described in your listing for the other Canon cameras. To use an FD Lens on the EOS camera body mount.

A: The Fotodiox Canon FD Lens to Canon EOS Camera Adapter will allow you to mount FD lenses onto a Canon EOS body such as the Rebel Ti and Elan IIe. You will need to shoot in manual or aperture priority mode.

Q: 7. Will this lens work on a Canon EF film body? I would be using an Eos 3.

A: I use the adapter on my Canon XS Rebel which is an EOS camera. The adapter allows me to use my FT lenses from my Canon FT days. It is NOT automatic however. You have to manually focus the camera and select the aperture . You then put the camera in Av mode sot that the lens will set the shutter speed. It doesn't make any difference what the camera says about the aperture since you will have set it on the actual lens you are using. Hope this helps.

Q: 8. Hi, i want to buy these, but i need to know if its going to work with my canon 5d mark iii and the 85mm f/1.2 fd lens. will it change de aperture of the lens? can i focus to infinite. thanks

A: No it won't change the aperture, but you are in FULL MANUAL mode as the FD lens will not do anything on an auto focus camera. All Manual from focus to F stop exposure may work, but take some test shots. I use my old lenses on a 7D and it's FULL manual with ant FD lens !

Q: 9. I have FD 20mm f/2.8 & 50mm f/1.4. Can this adapter use hyperfocal distance correctly? I know some FD to NEX adapters can't achieve it. I am looking for the right one, thanks! If not, any adapter recommended? Please share ideas!

A: The manufacture does not list specific lenses and hyperfocal distance. But the adapter will give infinity focus.

Q: 10. Hello, one question... if I have a 50mm Canon FD lens, and I use this adapter, will it change my focus amplitude? I mean, It'll allow me to focus to infinite, or the adapter will limitate this. Thanks!!

A: You will still be able to focus to infinity on a Canon FD lens with the use of the FotodioX Canon FD to Canon EOS adapter.
