The 256GB UHS-II microSDXC Memory Card with SD Adapter from ProGrade Digital features a storage capacity of 256GB and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support maximum read speeds of 250 MB/s and maximum write speeds of 130 MB/s. This card has also been designed with the V60 Video Speed Class rating, which guarantees minimum write speeds of at least 60 MB/s, allowing the card to be optimized for 4K, UHD, Full HD, and 3D video captures as well as raw photos and rapid-fire bursts.

UHS-II cards achieve their speed through an extra row of pins and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II / V60 compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II / V60. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-II and V30, which supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s, or UHS-I and U3, which also supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantee minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

Built for extreme conditions, ProGrade Digital's 256GB UHS-II microSDXC Memory Card with SD Adapter is able to withstand temperatures from -13 to 185°F, allowing you to take this card with you into extreme environments, such as snow and deserts. It is also resistant against x-rays and shock. Included is a microSD to SD adapter, which allows this card to be used in devices with full-sized SD slots.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does a 250MB/s memory card have any distinct advantage over a 170MB/s memory card; either for continuous shooting, or downloading photos to a computer?

A: Hi James, Yes, a 250MB/s card does have advantages in shooting stills, capturing video and in downloading content to a computer. Both the read and write speeds are faster on that card than on the card you reference. You are less likely to notice a difference when shooting stills since both cards will likely keep up with the buffer of your camera but if you are shooting video you be able to capture video at the highest resolutions. In your workflow when downloading to your computer you will offload all of your content faster.

Q: 2. Will this work on a Canon 5d IV?

A: Will it work, yes. But since your camera is not UHS-II compliant, using UHS-II is a considerable waste of money.

Q: 3. Has anyone had experience using this card with a Nikon D850?

A: Hi John, We have tested our cards with the D850 and both the SD V60 and SD V90 cards (all capacities) perform well. Thanks for your interest in ProGrade Digital

Q: 4. Best cards for Sony a7r3

A: Hi Heber, We have found that the best option for the Sony a7 Series is a V90 card especially if you are planning on shooting video. The ProGrade Digital V60 cards have been tested in those cameras and will work just fine as well. All flash memory slows down over time with multiple write/erase cycles and they need to be sanitized. The V90 card will give you more "headroom" for recording high-res video. We have a white paper about this on our website if you are interested.

Q: 5. Is this the same as the Sandisk Extreme Pro? Since Sandisk changed their firmware for the original Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera I am looking for an alternative SD card to shoot RAW.

A: Hi Ayaan, If you are shooting with the Black Magic Pocket Cinema 4K you will want to use our V90 card not the V60 card. Both of those cards are available at B&H. Let us know if you have any other questions we can answer. - ProGrade Digital

Q: 6. The 128GB version of this appears to be having problems as per user reviews. Does the 256GB V90 also have any issues?

A: Since the V90 version is brand new, nobody knows of any issues at this time. Looking over the reviews, I would hold off until more information has been ascertained regarding the performance of this brand of cards.

Q: 7. Will this card work with the Black Magic Design Video Assist 4K?

A: Hi, thanks for your question. Yes, our cards work with BlackMagic. We have tested in their cameras and Black Magic has tested our cards as well. If you need any additional information please let us know. - ProGrade Digital

Q: 8. Would this card be recommended for the Lumix GH5? Or would it be 'overkill'? That is, can the GH5 make full advantage of the capabilities of this card?

A: This is the perfect card for the GH5 and GH5S, it is one of the cameras that we developed this card for. While Panasonic on paper says a V60 can work with their cameras, they only produce a V90 card because it is better suited to handle the video recording capabilities. If you pair this card with the ProGrade Digital USB 3.1 Gen 2 reader you will take full advantage of the fast read speeds to improve your workflow.

Q: 9. Will pro-grade 128GB UHS-II SDXC fit the Nikon D7500 and D810?

A: Hi Roger, Yes the ProGrade Digital SD cards are a great choice for both of those Nikon cameras.

Q: 10. Can I use these with the Panasonic HC-X2?

A: It is best not to use a UHS II cared in the Panasonic HC-X2 4K Camcorder. The memory card port on the camera is for UHS I not UHS II.
